For the Avs this starts out fun and quickly becomes difficult. The top of our lineup almost looks legit. Veteran top 6 with a couple great two way players and premium scorers. A perennial Norris contender. But that bottom 6 and D core is very suspicious...and then there's the goalies. An unproven prospect and Pickard who's served nice spot roles through the years.

We have multiple prospects who could crack this lineup this year (our prospect pool is toward the bottom of the league) and Kovalenko is in it with 2 playoff games in hand. Kaut isn't even in the NHL anymore.

Thankful for trades, free agency, and undrafted players.

Pretty simple concept with a few rules:

1) Player must have been drafted by your team. Even if they never played for your franchise, you can use them.
2) Player must have played at least 1gp. For example, the Sharks can't use Celebrini.
3) Must be based on their current ability. So we're talking 2024 Ovechkin and not 2008.
4) Try to keep positions accurate.

Great top 6, horrendous bottom 6. Defense is… okay lol. Could be worse

Cogliano is now retired. Need someone else for 4LW. Maybe Jujhar Khaira. He’s still bouncing around the AHL/NHL. Matej Blumel might also find a spot on that bottom line.

Pitlick, Slepyshev, Riley Nash are still technically active players also but yeah the bottom-6 is baaad.

How did folks forget Erik Gustafsson? I'd pick Bear/Jones/VD/Gustafsson over Kesselring also.
