Yet ChatGPT forgot about the best Qc prospect as of today in Caleb Desnoyers ..! Also, keep an eye on Émile Guité. As for Gabriel D'Aigle, he keeps falling since last year. Once seen as the next great goalie out of Qc. It will be interesting if he can get back up to that praise as a full time starter.

It will be interesting to see what kind of season Louis-Antoine Denault has. He made the Remparts as a free agent last year and ended the year as the #1 goalie. At 6’8, he was already been given attention this season.

We'll see but Quebec was rebuilding and will still be next season. Starter job is open, we'll see

I'm assuming no goalies. Also what concerns you with Reschny other than size? Even if he doesn't grow more he's late teens at worst imo. The Tri-City duo is also fairly low
I was thinking Cole is that low along with Schmidt then maybe it's an extremely good year but lot will shake out over the next year.

I shouldn’t have even included Skok, since he is 2026 but in any case, I see it as a weaker year for the Czech’s - will fix the error.
But there is no mistake - Skok, although born in the 06th year, was born late in the 06th year - so there is no need to exclude anything. He played in the senior Extraliga two years before the draft (which rarely happens), a year before the draft and in the pre-draft season, I hope he will also prove himself.

For Sweden something like this sounds correct for the 1st round right now:

  1. Frondell: top 2
  2. Ihs Wozniak: top 10
  3. Boumedienne: top 15
  4. Eklund: top 20
  5. Ekberg: top 20
  6. Klingsell: 1st round
  7. Härenstam: 1st round
Debated putting some other prospects in the 1st round too but it's much safer to assume 2nd round right now.
I think Annborn and Ivar Stenberg might have a better chance of being drafted in the 1st round than Härenstam. I really takes a lot for a goalie to be drafted in the 1st round. Eric Nilson, Milton Gästrin and Oliwer Sjöström might have an outside shot too with a good season. At this point it's probably looking like the best Swedish draft class ever.

Although I agree with you that Haremstram may not be a first rounder, Stenberg is 2026 eligible.

What’s the temperature on Viggo Nordlund? Really liked his U18. Thought he stirred the drink for that line as much as Eklund. Kind of surprised he’s not anywhere to be found. Should be a riser. Especially if he grows an inch or two.

You have Mrtka twice at 32 and 40. I would leave him at 32 and put a different Czech at 40 so we have 3 in your Top 64 :)

No Czech love at all.. our team has not looked this good in a decade and it is apparantly based on 4th and 5th rounders. Time will tell I suppose. Czechs learned a hard lesson on small and exciting prospects this year when Ales Cech was taken and Tomas Galvas wasn't. I feel like this is a very good age group and I expect a first rounder dammit! Our streak is now at 3 years. Time will tell but we tend to rise as the season goes along.

Are there any Czech prospects that you think have a chance at becoming first rounders? aside from Mrtka and Benak.

The 2026 draft is very interesting with Katolicky, Novotny and Novak and Dravecky who you drafted from Slovakia

I really like Pekar, Zahesky and Poletin and I 'think' they are 2025?

Feel for Slovakia. I hate that we lose players to NA (eg. Sykora's son is on US team that we play later today) but really don't want Slovakia losing players to us either. I like them!

2026 does seem very promsiing as all those guys have size and skill unlike Galvas and Benak.

Mikel seems like a project but promising.

To be clear, I'm not saying anyone is wrong here. I was just surprised as I see our Jr teams winning more than losing in the last 2 seasons (3 straight semis' at U20 including a bronze and silver, Hlinka silver last year) and not many get even drafted.

Are Boumedienne and Hensler purposefully tied at 10? Just curious!

The good thing is I put Mrtka twice, so Boumedienne is 10, Hensler is 11, Mrtka is the first time he’s listed (meaning him at 40 gets deleted), and that’s 64.

In a way my lack of checking I counted everything right and didn’t put players twice worked out!

This is kind of my thought. 2025 looks like a weaker draft for them. Their two best 2007’s are late birthdays and their 2008’s look to have at least two early birthday first rounders.

So I don’t think it’s a bad time for Czech hockey, but 2025 might not be their draft.

Good list PB.

Cam Reid too low - Top-32 Player.

William Moore - would have inside my top-15

Luca Romano -- worth an HM, can see him playing his was into the top-40. Hopefully has a bit of a coming out party with Team Canada

Appreciate the feedback. I’ve liked Reid before, so I can definitely see that.

My issue with Moore is that he has appealing tools, but he constantly disappoints me with his effort levels and shift to shift play. Like sure he’s big and can skate and scored a decent amount, but he’s lazy defensively, and I think a lot of his offensive play is low hockey sense and he has good not great offensive ability.
