My second 2023 List. I didn't make too many changes from the March list because there wasn't that much hockey played after that. Only a few, and then I added 32 HM's, so thats the most significant change. A lot of this is still guesswork a year before the draft, so if I have any positions wrong then please tell me.

Cool list. All I heard from Gulyayev is that he's an amazing prospect. Might end up higher if the politic situation gets better

Where do you approximately think Emil Järventie, Jesse Kiiskinen and Jesse Nurmi would be ranked?

I liked Uronen a lot at the U18s. Excited to follow him more in his draft year.

Obviously Bedard and Michkov are supposed to be elite/can't miss talents, but how good and how big is the next tier of players? How do the next tier of players compare to the guys that went at the top of the last few drafts? Thanks!

I think both Gulyayev and Remezovsky end up as first rounders. Both were outstanding for their age in the MHL games I watched this season. Two dman to keep an eye on from Russia for sure

You're high on a goodly number of Americans. It will be interesting to watch on how that pans out.

Easier to be high on players you know better. I'm sure as we get closer to the draft and I know more about the other players, opinions will change. At the same time, easier to be low on players you know better. I do not view players like Smith, Moore, Leonard, Fantilli as high as some others do.

I think 2023 will be a good draft for American players though. The NTDP isn't that good for the 2005's, but outside of that it should be like the 2021 draft, which had 6 top 40 picks that weren't from the NTDP U18's. Between Stramel, Musty, McCarthy, Shaugabay, Sawchyn, Brzustewicz, Brindley, there are a lot of good Americans that won't play for that team that are 2023 draft eligible.

That's the key. The NTDP will always have a number of top players but when there are others out there in other leagues, that means some depth.
