1 - Boomer returns
2 - Anisimov leads the team in scoring
3 - Bobby Ryan is moved for scraps and JD is given a key to the city.
4 - Johansen lands a spot in the top six and is top 3 in points
5 - Jackets make the playoffs as 6 seed and beats 3 seed Nashville in the first round.

We finish ahead of Chicago in the standings, and grab the 7th seed in the playoffs.

Bobrovsky catches fire and we ride him to the Conference Finals.

Johansen makes some spectacular plays to earn a top-6 spot.

Injuries make a Boone Jenner call-up happen in mid-March, and he never leaves the NHL for the rest of his career.

Erixon, Boll, Wiz, and Dubinsky are packaged for another scoring forward in April.

edit: wait, I made more than one. Increases my odds of Nastrodamusing this baby!
Don't think this can happen. Once Columbus sends Jenner back to the CHL, he can't be re called back up to the NHL. Only way is if Columbus/Springfield have too many injuries and needs a emergency call up from the CHL. But once players recover, Jenner needs to get sent back down asap.

That's what makes it bold!

blind squirrel + broken clock = bold prediction!

what are you hearing? I don't really know what we could/would move for him. Maybe a D + grinder type + one of our 1st's?

i haven't been told "what" but I'd assume one of Moore, Erixon, or Savard +...i guess we tried to get him before trading Nash and it fell thru...but who knows...but I'd love to have a legit goal scorer here that plays like he wants to win

If JD pulls something off like that and totally crushes the draft, we've got ourselves a franchise. At least one we don't have to be embarrassed about.

Bobrovsky has one amazing 5-10 game stretch and is dubbed as a saint by the coaches and some fans, earning him endless starts when the team starts tanking. Again.

The Jackets also sweep Detroit in the season series.

Bobrovsky sets himself up as a starting goalie in the league.

Steve Mason rebounds well after a slow start due to not playing, we have a quality 1-2 punch in net.

Derick Brassard becomes the go-to-guy on the team, and performs quite well.

Cam has a scoring slump in the NHL, finishes season in Springfield.

JJ continues where he left off of last season

Jackets finish 13th in West.

We play over our heads for a month but fall short finishing somewhere in the 18 - 20 range. Worst thing that can happen. Either be good or be really bad.

Make one Bold Prediction for this up coming season.

I predict the Jackets make the playoffs and win at least one game that we are told is meaningless due to the short season.

So far, this is my favorite prediction.

My bold prediction:

We stay in the playoff hunt all season.....but do we make it? YES

I predict that this season will be sort of a debacle on the ice, but we will do well enough to make us all forget about The Season of Endless Suffering.

Steve Mason makes a spectacular last second glove save on Rick Nash to clinch a 2-1 victory over the Rangers. Steve immediately regains his rookie form and becomes a fan favorite...

You guys have a huge talent in Erixon, he will most probably surprise all of you.

Rangers always trade young talents for older veterans, it's what they do (Sather era), sometimes it works out, sometimes not, the audience are having fun though I guess? A great show team, fun watching, New York city, but winning the Cup, no.

The Golden Generation - Adam Larsson, Tim Erixon and David Rundblad

I have no idea how. I don't think anyone here would be all that surprised unless he became a PPG player. Well that or if he became a true #1 and excelled in all zones and could play against the top players in the league for 30 minutes a night.

I'll have to see him play before I can start to get a feel for his ceiling, but I don't think too many would be surprised if he's ends up a #3 that can move up in the event of injury. Then again I wouldn't be surprised to see him languish as a 5/6 for a few years until we move him to Ottawa either.

I've said it when I read up on this guy post-acquistion.....

I really think Johnathan Audy-Marchessault is a huge surprise at the NHL level this season. Maybe not leadibng the team in scoring, or what have you, but I think he ends up with solid playing time in Columbus. I think he gives us a taste of what we've expected Brassard to show us for years.

Sorry, I should have written "he will most probably surprise some of you." ;)
