Can't believe Chicago has the best odds at 1OA.

That team is just going to keep getting fed talent until they literally can't f*** it up anymore. It's that easy.

I know people will bring up Buffalo, but that's the exception. Something is really off with them and I don't follow closely enough to know what it is.

And the #1 prospect is an Islanders fan. PHOOEY! Well, by the time he plays in the NHL, maybe the NHL will do right and relocate the Islanders
Fortscue is an Islanders fan. They are teammates. They can wear Fishstick pajamas together here for the next decade for all I care.

I can imagine a young player like Berard thinking - This is great, all I have to do is Skate like Cryder to get my NHL contract.. Very Soon this team will need to burn it all down until there is no forensic evidence.

Unfortunately Nash kind of stunk in 2013-14. He had the two concussions in about a nine and a half month span (Lucic in January 2013 and Stuat in October 2012 during the infamous Hertl game) and didn't really get going other than like Game 2 against the Canadians.

He was crushing it in 2014-15 and then Zach Bogosian cross checked him in the neck/upper back and he was never the same.
I still think Nash was key in 2013-14, even though he didn't score a lot of goals.

We put ourselves in a position where he needed to be a gamebreaking scorer, and he never was that.

He was still a perfect fit for the way that team played while also adding things they weren't good at.

If that team had a Panarin and Nash was the second option, they win both Cups.

Berard is going to be a useful player for this team. This year can be like his summer internship here.

He was not a playoff guy ever. He was supposed to be a 40 goal scorer, he didn't even hit 40 points that season. That team got as far as they did because they rallied around MSL, Kreider came back, Lundqvist gave them a chance, and the Canadians were a very good matchup.

I feel like we're going to waste Berard and Cuylle.

Their ideal roles are as the dogs on lines with skilled players.

We currently don't have those players and I have no idea where they're coming from.

I also absolutely HATE that any time we have players that bring a different element, we play them all together in a reduced role.

We're still doing the grabass lines over here and the hockey lines over here. We don't seem to have any interest in building a diverse lineup with buy-in.

Play with your friends however you guys feel like playing, if you're not one of those guys, play with the other grinders on lines that have no chance of scoring.

Tankathon takes team need into consideration with its mocks. So they have Martone ranked as the #1 prospect, but C is a bigger need for the team, which is why they project us taking Hagens
It's really bold for Tankathon to have center as a Rangers need.

I agree with it, but it's bold.

If we actually got Hagens, he 100% starts at wing, probably with Kreider and Zibanejad LMAO.

Is Hagens actually supposed to be #1? I've seen several mocks that have Misa or Martone at #1. Hagens as low as 4.
It’s Martone. 100% imo. He’s a playmaking PF with great size that he actually uses. He’s a unique talent.

Hagens is Hughes-lite, and would be the better pick for us considering our depth at C. He’s slippery. Elusive. Very crafty with the puck. But smaller who won’t fit RB’s desire to see a big strong powerful team.

I’d be ecstatic with either player because of the unique skillset they have. I just imagine what a Perrault/Hagens combo would look like. Filth.

There’s a handful of really interesting defensive prospects too in this top 15. I know everyone would prefer to see us finally draft a center if we’re picking early… But our defense is shit and a kid like Schaefer or Smith would be a home run.

I used to make fun of Edge for saying "Gorton/Drury has his work cut out for him" all the time because like, no shit, but I get what he means now.

We short-circuited the rebuild and then...didn't do anything to augment the roster in any significant way.

We just kind of decided that what we had was good enough, and if it wasn't, idk fire the coach I guess?

Whatever RB wants, I want the opposite.
