And they could easily be 9-9 with better goaltending.

Not defending them or saying I want that, just saying, that's hockey.

The thing snowballed on them. Very disappointed in how easy some of them broke. No idea what happened to CK and Mika but they have played much harder and better in the past.

They need to start winning periods nevermind games.

Start with Bread, Vince, Laf, Will, Berard and Chytil up front. Find 3 more fwds that will hustle.

Go Fox, Kam, Schneider on back end. Find 2 more D.

Let team know from here on out everything is by merit including special teams. If you don't play hard and smart you will be sitting. You will play all game with a shortened bench.

-Carrick deserves to sit next game for being lazy. Let Johnny Brodz center the fourth line.

-Mika should be off PP1 for the rest of the season

-Nice 2 assist game by Fox. Too bad the second one was a pass right to Nick Paul

-Chytil continues his 2002-03 Lindros impersonation. He's no longer an effective player.

-Igor stunk.

-Sam basically saying the Rangers make him want to drink.

-I'm curious if Micheletti who is being more critical every game gets asked not to come back this summer due to a trifecta of age/entire new booth/the "everything is cotton candy and puppies in the magical world of Madison Square Garden" front they like to show (like the time Lundqvist talked about Dexter and it was never mentioned again).
Brodzinski is better than 90% of the 4th liners in the league but he doesn't do "stuff."

The face when you don't know what you're doing and you're in way over your head.

Yeah, he might have shimmied a brown beetle out the back end there.

We would save $666K for the next 5 seasons and then carry dead cap of $333k for an additional 5 season. Basically, it's not remotely feasible.

Also, confirmed that Zibanejad is Satan

They're obviously not gonna buy out Mika, but they could get him to move, especially if we continue to be ass. Who wants to be here?

For who? For what? What team is going to want him? That contract is an anchor.

You give him this summer to figure it out. If not, a reduced role. There might be 1-2 compliance buyouts allowed for the next CBA. If not, you think about buying him out summer 2026 or summer 2027. He may also retire.

Never underestimate how much this league is filled with idiots.

Somebody will look at his counting stats and think they can bring him back.

We have to act soon. Don't continue to display his spiraling value for all the world to see like we did with Kakko for like four ass years.

Kakko should have been dealt when Gallant scratched him against Tampa.

When you look at the buyout, you see how attractive retaining 50% could actually be. Mika at just over $4M might be too tempting for other teams to pass up.

I feel duped. I fully expect you to find the culprit and troll stomp his ass.
A quick HFNYR search history shows that late in the 20-21 season someone made a comment about Mika marrying a vegan and his play getting worse at the same time. Then he came into camp having been on 'a new diet' (no specifics mentioned) and looking thinner/weaker, so people decided that made to mean he'd gone vegan.
By December 2021 it appears to have morphed from a joke/lazy way of saying 'played weak' to being an accepted HFNYR fact

It’s a weird internal holding pattern where nobody likes it here but nobody wants to leave. I mean, that’s the sense I get.
Being a multi millionaire in NY plus all the social stuff is not easy to leave. Plus there's a lot of coverage, but most of these guys get less recognition than Tommy Freaking Devitto.

Even now, Mika has 21 points in 34 games. Somebody will think they can use that.

Mika would already be done in basketball where everything is efficiency or baseball where everything is analytics.

Hockey isn't that smart of a landscape. It has a lot to do with how relatively few scoring events there are.

Some jackass will overpay for a guy who put a few pucks in the net. He's not gonna ask how they got there.

It's not like he's out there going 2 for 20 from the field or striking out at a 30% rate. 21 points is 21 points.
