So Ive only seen the Marner, Reilly, Keefe, Matthews snipits and Im not sure if I just cant find any others from Dubas.

But im really perturbed with how Reilly and Matthews responded to the question about past performances connected with this years loss.

Basically both stating that no, no connection at all. This is a new year with a completely different team and genuinely looking like they believe what they are saying. In my opinion that is so delusional and worrisome.

They are partly right that the team has changed overall, it got better in depth and defense. But the main part of the team which is the young core of 5 has not changed and is the constant every time . They also happen to be the ones to be relied on the most. It's funny to me that the people like Muzzin, Spezza, Kerfoot, Brodie, Campbell ..etc who have been brought in to augment them were getting it done mostly and those core guys outside of Nylander were not and they are legit not seeing the connection.

Anyone else have any feelings on this? Ive probably read too much into it, but it bugged me.

I think the question is stupid. As the common denominator, they are clearly the answer, but what do you expect them to say?

Their responses reek of entitlement, I’d trade the lot of them. The good news is there’s no shortage of desperate teams willing to think these players only need a change of scenery.

Well to be perfectly frank at this point after 5 years of the same thing, I actually want to hear some honesty and accountability for it.

For me though what Im getting at here isnt that they answered with some generic garbage, it's the fact that the way they said it appears they actually believe it and that worries me more than someone in denial.

Oh well, doesnt really matter. I just saw them and thats what went through my brain right away.
