23 is one of Jimmy Eat World's most popular songs

Musically it brings together the two contrasting styles of the two albums prior to Futures, the more concise side of Bleed American with the more indulgent side of Clarity. Look at comments on videos of this song and it's filled with people saying how much it means to them. It's always popular live. I can't stand it. It's maudlin, tuneless garbage and is comfortably the weakest song on an otherwise great album. I'm seeing them live for the first time in ages next month and I've already pencilled in tuning out for ten minutes or so when they play this.

This isn't about bands with genuine stinkers, this is for stuff other people like that you just don't see the fuss about.

Wouldn't go so far as to say love but I think they've had some really good albums/great songs but Last Nite by The Strokes is terrible on an otherwise excellent album start to finish.

Are You Lonesome Tonight - Elvis Presley
I Just Called To Say I Love You - Stevie Wonder
Jeremy - Pearl Jam
Wrapped Around Your Finger - Police

Whiskey in the Jar by Metallica. I will never understand why they chose to cover that song or how it became popular.

Shape of You by Ed Sheeran. When the song came out it was overplayed to such an extent that I can’t stand it anymore. He has plenty of much better songs in my opinion.

I love ABBA, but I've never liked "Waterloo". I understand why it won the Eurovision Song Contest and all, but it does nothing for me really and they have numerous better songs.

"Peg" by Steely Dan, "Sexual Healing" by Marvin Gaye, "My Generation" by the Who (iconic, but again, they've numerous better ones even in the '60s), "I Can't Dance" by Genesis...

Crowded House - Don't Dream It's Over
Linkin Park - In the End
Lush - Ladykillers (but the whole Lovelife album is a disappointment imo)
Steely Dan - Reelin' in the Years
Smash Mouth - All Star

Wow saw this title and came here to post this. Except I would say I love the Strokes, but don't exactly hate Last Nite, it is just the worst song on possibly the greatest rock album of the century imo

Also wouldn't say I hate it, but Creep by Radiohead is overplayed and covered to death

Some popular songs I would likely skip on bands I otherwise enjoy
Heart Shaped Box- Nirvana
Ho Hey- The Lumineers
Light My Fire- The Doors

John Lennon is one of the greatest lyricists, songwriters, and musicians of the 20th century.

Imagine is worse than eating a garbage bag full of live cockroaches.
