I have no idea. The first few replays and it was clear as crystal. I wasn't shocked they called it a goal based on how bad the reffing and league has been this series but man, that has to be so frustrating not just for fans but for the players.

But at the same point Kempe cross checks Nuge in a scrum, harmless little cross check but the same principle.

McDavid is pinned on the boards in basically sat on, no call, same as Kostin.

At this point Holland or Woodcroft need to go public, what are they going to do? Call the exact same stuff, it probably can’t get any worse.

Kostin the only winger in 3 games to score. Would be nice for our "great" forward depth to do something with it.

Nuge had 100 points and is useless. Kane is still a full step behind the play. Hyman looks 55 years old. Yamamoto couldn't score into an empty net.

Ryan scored too and has been a winger for most of the season.

Taking my Oilers fan glasses off I couldn't manage to see the stick touching the puck myself. Oh did I ever want to, but being honest with myself I didn't.

How do you explain the puck changing directions so quickly then? Imo there's no question he touched the puck. What has been pointed out to me several times though is the fact it touched ekholm's back after the high stick, thus negating the high stick and leading to LA's possession. I hate it as much as the next person but at the end of the day it was the right call by the NHL's rules I guess. The garbage reffing as far as penalties go can stop anytime as far as I'm concerned though

It has been frustrating, but I feel the Oilers have been the better team for the majority of these games.

Dealing with lack of disciplin AND questionable reffing (yes, both are true) makes it even more frustrating, but none of these games were out of reach and the Kings still don't scare me.

Funny how in the first two games we were told that LA got way more PPs because the Oilers were taking blatant penalties. Today, LA took two blatant tripping penalties and two high sticks and the refs found ticky tacky things to call on the Oilers to make sure LA came out ahead in PP opportunities. The Desharnais and Draisaitl penalties were jokes with all of the extracurricular activity going on after the whistle and LA did the same thing to McDavid in OT that Kostin did in the third period. Fitting that LA wins another game on a power play in overtime.

Don't forget Kopitar snapping his head back when Ekholm pushes him in the back.. or Kostin getting called for interference in a battle , and then the same thing happens to McDavid.... no call.......
