At least there's one team in the NHL who's still interested in keeping him employed. If he works his ass off and has some success then maybe the yotes will sign him to help with their rebuild.

I think he's lucky to keep being claimed and not find himself riding the buses in the AHL. Bet a lot of other guys wish they got as many chances as he's getting.

Nope. Contract has nothing at all to do with waiver eligibility. Waiver eligibility is based on # of years from signing the first contract and NHL games played. Arcobello would be waiver eligible no matter what contract he had.

Yes, contract has something to do with waiver eligibility. If he was on an AHL contract he would not have to go through NHL waivers (although he couldn't be recalled then).

Arco is a good player with good character. Small but has hustle and vision and is actually very physical, which is unexpected.

I thought you can't play in the NHL with an AHL/ECHL contract, which means that it is not possible the get waived.
If you are talking about a two way contract that has nothing to do with waiver eligibility. A two way contract just means that the player gets a different (lower) salary in the AHL.

For 600K i'm sure most of us would live out of a hotel for a year and play on a differnt team each week. He's just not a full time NHL caliber player but at least he was given a fair shot by numerous teams.

Yup, he failed to do anything with Pittsburgh to warrant them keeping him around.

Hopefully works out for him in Arizona.

I don't think I'd deem him as a "poor Arcobello" and no he's not "living the life of an NHLer" either. He's getting to see the country at least, I don't know that he'll be in the NHL next year, maybe could be the Coyotes 4th line guy if he can be good at faceoffs and such, he could be Arizona's Cliche.

NHL players don't get bounced around this much, his is an AHL player, who happens to have a contract that leaves him susceptible to waivers every time a team wants to "send him down," its that simple.

I wish him all the best.

Arcobello is a million times better than Cliche. An ostrich would do a better job than Cliche.

He's definitely not poor. He's making an NHL salary.

Sucks to get tossed around from team to team in the NHL, but I'm sure he prefers that over playing in the AHL.

He got a legit opportunity to play with Malkin for a bit of time and didn't do a thing with the opportunity. I didn't know anything about him before he came to Pittsburgh but I don't think he is an NHL caliber player from what he did here. He blew a bunch of good passes and opportunities from Geno.
