The Rangers just abused Girardi----blocking hundreds and hundreds of shots---always getting the hardest matchups for years. Eventually he couldn't really do it effectively anymore.

Girardi and Callahan are proof that you should just let the goalie have the shot sometimes.

Honorable mention: HOF’er Luc Robitaille, my favorite player when I started following the team. Yeah, he wasn’t great with us but for some reason I took a shine to him.

You could probably have Brashear on this list too. The only time I ever saw a fanbase root against their own player in a fight.

Malik is the answer and it never made the least bit of sense.

On the list the hatred for Girardi on hf for a period was crazy.
Rozsival didn’t deserve any but got a lot.
Trouba’s is unfair too.
Blais and Nash didn’t take all that much.
Staal got it at the very end.

But the most heat overall on the list probably went to Redden and he was a big disappointment. I can’t bring myself to vote for it as the ‘worst heat’ cos he is the player on the list who most deserved the heat

Seriously. How many times did that guy fail to take away the pass on a 2 on 1 and the puck ended up in the back of our net.

One of my favorite experiences as a fan was going to a Piles game when he was there and screaming at him every time he was on the ice.
