I'd have to say Winnipeg still, and I think the players would probably say the same. There for a bit I would have went with Anaheim, the fans nor the players seemed to like one another.

If Blues hadn't won the Cup it would be Winnipeg. But now it's the Blues for sure.

Since coming back after the 04-05 lockout, we have been pretty clearly a better team year in and year out than the Blues, to the point that I kind of took it for granted that we had put them.in the rearview mirror.

But the Cup changes all of that, because now they and their obnoxious fans have something to hold over us until we get one. And I f***ing hate it.

Seems like I'm the only one thinking we don't really have one. There's no real hatred and whatever hatred the other teams (and more precisely fans) had was somewhat tied to Subban.

Winnipeg maybe for the last two years, but over 21 years that does not weight much at all IMO. I personally look at the wild as our biggest rival.
- Same division.
- Our old owner, Liarpold, sold out on us and depleted key free agents, then went and bought the wild.
- They stole Suter from us.
- The Granlund/Fiala trade will be judged for years to come.
- They basically stole our symbol, but made it face opposite direction and colored it in with wilderness.
- I hate them lol

I actually didn't think anybody would choose the Wild so I didn't add them originally. I've added them to the poll now.

I went with the Jets... although really that just underlines the fact that we don't exactly have a "real" rival. There were some contentious games and good competition in the last couple regular seasons. But that's not a heckuvalot in terms of a "real" rivalry. The playoff series underwhelmed since neither team really showed up. That could have helped cement things but instead didn't really. Chicago or Anaheim were maybe going to be my second choices but again those were pretty much short duration peaks in antipathy. Maybe the Stars or Blues can steal it away. I don't know. It'd be fun to have a true rival, but I don't think we've really had one. :dunno:

Still the hawks in my mind. Sweeping them didn't take the hatred I have for them. And I cant stand their fans even the one I'm married to lol. All joking aside I don't think it can be the jets there is barely any history. I still remember 2010 when we were about to go up 3-2 against the hawks but kane scored with less than 30 seconds left and the hawks won in ot then finished us off in 6. Or 2015 when game 1 we came out and scored 3 first period goals just to see us lose in double overtime and darling coming in and stealing them the series. Then of course the sweep. Which was glorious. Yea the hawks it is. If the red wing were still in our division they would be up there but now its meh

I second this, and will add that their fans are the worst bunch that visits Nashville. In my "adult" life, I've only been in one legitimate fistfight, and that's after a drunk Hawks fan verbally harassed and assaulted my girlfriend after a game. Of course, this view is entirely post-Wings

Obviously, our playoff history over the last decade or so would skew towards saying Chicago or the Ducks, but its difficult for me to pick either of them since neither of them would really consider us there biggest rival. With the Jets there at least seems to be some mutual agreement that we are each others biggest rival at least in recent times. If we can both stay near the top of the division and get a few more playoff matchups I could see it really cementing itself as our true #1 rivalry.

And if they were still Atlanta...

I don't even hate the Wings anymore, in fact I find them to be quite entertaining and i'm enjoying the way their rebuild is going. Larkin, Mantha, Athanasiou, Bertuzzi, Zadina, Rasmussen and Hirose is an exciting young core up front. The defense needs some work but Hronek, Cholowski, Seider is a good start. It's a lot different than the era of buying up free agents during which I really came to hate the team.

Very true, Stevie Y just needs to get rid of the dead weight & bad contracts that have plagued the team, i.e. Helm, Abdelkader, Ericsson, Kronwall, Nielsen etc, first & foremost. I liked what he did in the draft by getting mainly defensemen for the future & building it back up. Build the offense around Larkin, Mantha, & AA, and something special could become of it in the future.

I was saying before Nick retired, that Holland needed to have a plan in place with a core of guys ready to take the defensive torch, or at least be decent. Granted, can you replace a top 3 defenseman of all time, most likely not, but to have no plan in place for when he called it quits, and ever since, not have anything that even resembles a defense, has been hard to watch. I've truly admired Poile over the years in his putting together a real solid D core & making wise deals to mix & match guys who play defense, only wish we could have done the same, indeed.

Nevertheless, I do miss exchanging the Legwand jersey for the Datsyuk one whenever they were here in town back in the day. ;)

Its not the Wild, Avs, Sharks, Wings, Pens or Stars.

Jets are up there but too new.

Ducks would be my answer if we were in the same division but we aren't.

Hawks are logical but I don't think their fans really hate us the way we hate them so that kind of defeats the purpose of a "rivalry". Plus I like Chelsea Dagger so sue me.

That leaves the Blues. We hate each other. We're close geographically. Their fans are insufferable and they probably feel the same about us.

My answer is the Blues.
