Speculation: Poll: Playoffs, Who's Your Goalie?

It’s great that Woll is a viable option but don’t think this one is particularly close. Stolarz has probably been our best player this year.

The only reason to go with Woll is that he was so good last post season but it's pretty easily Stolarz net right now.

Woll does need some time with the goalie coach to get back to basics. His athleticism and instincts can get him by, kind of like a pitcher without his best stuff.

Ever since Stolarz came back from injury, Woll has looked off.

I picked Stolarz. But there's still enough regular season games left for that to change. Whoever is the hot hand after game 82.

The reality is that either guy is more than capable of winning a series. And I expect we'll see both guys get a start in round 1. Either due to injury, or to give the team a shakeup if it's needed.

Stolarz is my guy, but he gets 2 games, I’d turn to woll if he falters pretty quickly. Woll has been nothing short of spectacular in the playoffs for us, so stolarz shouldn’t be given many games to get used to the playoffs, we have a very capable plan B just waiting.

If he’s bad than I rotate to woll. Keefe made a huge mistake keeping Samsonov in game 1-4. His job should’ve been done when we went down 2-1. He really wasn’t good at all.

I'd be starting Stolarz, he's been better over the regular season but I wouldn't be afraid to use Woll if Stolarz stumbles

Woll hasn't started in the playoffs a lot but when he has he's been good so he's good insurance

Don't know how anyone can pick Woll over Stolarz at this point.

Woll gives up way too many rebounds and seems to have way less stoppages resulting in a lot more scrambles and caught out with tired players. Stolarz kills the play and allows the players to change while Woll keeps kicking out rebounds until the team clears or it goes out of play. That may be due to lack of confidence as last year in the playoffs he was freezing everything, but given this season's sample size you start with Stolarz.

Look at their careers:

Stolarz: 137GP - 2.60GAA, .916 save percentage
Woll: 75GP - 2.77GAA, .909 save percentage

Stolarz has been a better goalie over a larger sample size.

I'd go with Stolarz. He's had a little dip since the surgery but he's getting more comfortable. It's good to have a 1B in case he dips though. I'm more comfortable with either one more than I ever was with Campbell or Samsonov.

Stolarz. In a great place with goaltending when you have Woll in your backpocket; good chance he plays too & plays well.

This is my answer too. Woll has been great in the playoffs. This is a good spot to be in.
