I wonder what the likelihood of finding an NHL regular/impact player at 17 is compared to 29-32?

This year ? Definitly more odd, especially if some team goes nut for the D, we may have a surprise at 17

I will go with Leafs advance. Let me explain.

Now that the 'first round Laffs' cliche is over I have no issues with the Leafs winning another series, particularly one that benefits us. Sorry Panthers, thanks for beating the Bruins but Habs drafting takes priority for me over the other 31 teams.

Note that I said win another round not win it all for the Leafs. I was thinking Avs but the Kraken drowned them so go Oil, get McDavid a Cup.

I enjoyed all the upsets this round, fun to watch as a neutral hockey fan.

PS @River Meadow lose a bet? lol

MUCH, MUCH, MUCH higher in this year's draft in particular, not to mention in general.

Plus I hope we trade up.

Guhle Caufield Mailloux all in the last few years around those marks.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they pick up Perrault Gabriel

I’d accept Leafs Win if they surely lose the next round. But since that isn’t guaranteed — Leafs must lose.

Don’t be too greedy with the Chiarot return. He was never worth a first round pick.

You take a measly 17th pick instead of a leafs collapse? Embarrassing thing to admit. I’m sure our third line winger in 2028 will be worth the Leafs winning a round!!
What in the world does it change to your life as a Habs fan if the Leafs lose in the Eastern Finals while we could add to OUR team a serviceable player for years to come????

Priority is for the Habs getting the 17th pick, and as much as I hate the leafs, I hate Gudas even more.
Anyways, as I said when the playoffs started ; best case scenario is for the leafs to go down in 4 in the first round, 2nd best case scenario is for the leafs to lose in overtime in a 7 game final .

"Embrace the tank"

This is.. "embrace the enemy"

Leafs are literally our last line of defense for a mid round pick VS late round pick.

I am all in.

I Hope the leafs win and then lose to NJD or NYR and we get the 17th pick but I can't see them winning...

The got their stanley cup by winning a round and the emotional let down will be huge... they lose the first 2 games at home and lose in 5.
