You said it would be an easy series they would control from start to finish in 5 games because Ottawa might squeak one out. So I am not sure who you are trying to kid here.I never said this series is a laugher for Toronto. I am also talking about the playoffs in general here over the course of a cup run. Of course who knows how Stolarz plays or his health Woll could appear round 1 who knows. Point is we have 2 guys we have full trust in.
Bro, theres a difference of 3 goals against between the two teams... That would literally be within margin of error.
Ottawa has 225 goals against, Toronto has 228
Ottawa has allowed 14 empty net goals, Toronto has allowed 20
There's the difference
In past years yes, but this year they’ve been battling for the division for months.
You still haven't backed up Toronto being noticeably better on defense and in goal, which is what I am objecting to.
If Toronto is easily better on D and in G, why hasn't it showed up in the GA stat?
Are you of the opinion that the difference would come from Ottawa's forwards being better defensively?
Even if you removed the 6 goals against on empty net differential, it still doesn't paint a picture of Toronto easily being better on D and in G...
Where is Ottawa better at to even the gap (and do even better) in GA?
They're 0-3 against the Sens in the regular season. I know it's not the playoffs but expecting a sweep is probably setting the bar too high.Leafs are better at all positions. Anything less than a sweep would be humiliating.

I f***ing love this mentality. I need it coursing through my veins.Leafs are better at all positions. Anything less than a sweep would be humiliating.
Toronto has better goaltending.
Toronto has better D.
Toronto has an elite top 6 which includes:
- a generational goal scoring centre who, may break Ovechkin's goal-scoring record, who also plays Selke-level D
- the 2nd leading scorer in the NHL, WHO IS NOT EVEN THE GUY REFERENCED ABOVE
- a blossoming 30 goal scoring power forward
- a veteran 30 goal scorer who was an Exceptional Player in junior
- the 5th leading point scorer in the NHL WHO IS NOT EVEN ANY OF THE GUYS REFERENCED ABOVE
- TIE f***ING DOMI JR
Leafs are better at all positions. Anything less than a sweep would be humiliating.

No pressure Toronto, but if you don't sweep, it will be humiliating. Most excellent.
Leafs have this one in the bag. Best matchup they could have hoped for. Finally, another trip to the 2nd round.
Does it mean I can't love that mentality? There is no playoff team that you can say "anything less than a sweep is humiliating" about. Come on now.
He is not a Leafs fan
It's been a long 1 season wait
Should have more than one trip to round two. You'll get your 2nd soon enough though. It's been a long 1 season wait
Voted no because I’m a hater

The leafs have a massive advantage in their top 6 forwards and their bottom pairing D. The only place I think Ottawa has a a decent advantage is their 3rd line and #1 D. Its a legit matchup line that can shut down the other top guys and score.I actually think Toronto has slightly worse goaltending, worse team defense, but much, much better forwards. They should win but they're not better at every position.
31 teams lose every year Sky04, it's a tough league. So why do they lose every year?
