You're wrong, Leafs are 2-1-0 vs Habs.Leafs vs Habs this year they are 1-2 with one game remaining.
Leafs vs Sens this year, they are 0-3.

Oops ya typed it backwards lol, will fixYou're wrong, Leafs are 2-1-0 vs Habs.

Panthers also got swept by Boston in the regular season last year and then made easy work of them in the playoffs.Regular season success vs a team means absolutely nothing in the playoffs.
Sens used to beat the Leafs in the regular season and lost every playoff series.
Leafs beat the Bruins in the 2017 season series
Leafs crushed the Habs in the 2021 season series
Leafs were 3-0-1 vs the Panthers in 2022
None of it matters when there are too many variables in a series.
I have them in the ECF at a minimum. Would be mind boggling to not make it that far.
As of today, Leafs would play the Devils.
Devils remaining schedule - Penguins, Islanders, Bruins, Red Wings
Senators remaining schedule - Canadiens, Flyers, Hawks, Hurricanes
Sens have the harder schedule IMO. So, it's possible the Devils could leapfrog passed the Sens. Either team would pose an interesting match up for the Leafs. Sens and Devils have given up fewer goals. Devils have a very similar goal differential. Battle of Ontario vs Devils speed and winning record home and away.
I think Treliving has tried to make the Leafs harder to play against. It comes down to the big 4 though. Woll and Stolarz have been solid in the regular season. Woll's had some playoff success as a starter, but both have limited experience.
Leafs swept season series with Devils, but two games needed OT. Senators swept the season series with the Leafs.
Do I want them to win? No. Do I think they can win? Yes. Do I think they will win? If the regular season is prologue, they have a 50/50 chance.
If Toronto has the better goaltending, forwards and defence, how have they given up more goals this year than Ottawa?
I keep hearing about this new and improved defensively-focused Leaf team and they are 12th in GA among the 16 current playoff teams.
Leafs are 4th in the league in GA 5v5. Special teams have been a challenge.
They might beat Ottawa, they don't have a better goalie.
It's 2025 and we still haven't learned that regular season means jack squat in the playoffs? For shame....Leafs vs Habs this year they are 2-1 with one game remaining.
Leafs vs Sens this year, they are 0-3.
Not sure they have better defense either...
It Rielly, Ekman Larsson, McCabe, and tanev better than Sanderson, Chabot, Jensen and zub? I'm not too sure..
Rielly is having a down year...38 points and -14...then 33 year old OEL who isn't what he used to be...Jake McCabe...35 year old tanev...
I'm not saying Ottawa is better but I don't see how Toronto has the better d.
Its almost no argument that Sanderson is the best...then you could argue Chabot over Rielly this year...than it's defensive responsible d like Jensen and zub vs McCabe and tanev...
I dunno. Maybe it's the homer in me, but I take the sens D as well.
The sens have allowed less goals against than Toronto despite Toronto playing more time in the offensive zone with better offensive stars...so maybe, just maybe, Ottawa has better goalies/D.
That's a pretty huge swing on the basis of special teams.
Special teams are still part of the game in the playoffs.Leafs have allowed 134 goals 5v5, Sens 146. Leafs have given up too many goals with the goalie pulled, while on the PP, and marginally more on the PK>

Both the sens AND habsThey will lose to both the Sens or Habs in the first round. It is written.

If there's any team that could find a way to lose twice in the first round, to 2 different teams, it's definitely us.Both the sens AND habs
