Check out the time of possession. Offensive zone numbers, SOG, deserve to Win meter, anything. You're saying the Oilers were "grossly out competed tonight" Yeah any statline disagrees with that.

Pretend the Oilers were even in compete the back half of the game all you want to fuel your goalie obsession. Oilers stunk from the 10 min mark of the second on.

Wings had about 12 shots half way through the game and ended in the mid 30s. Why was that?

I like Podkolzin as a player but I'm getting pretty tired of him missing chance after chance and Arvidsson falling the ice every time. We are in February pretty much... and the only wingers with over 10 goals are RNH and Hyman

For sure.
I have posted about this a few times now. The secondary scoring on this team just isnt good enough considering the talent level.
Arvidsson (a player I used to like) doesnt seem to accomplish very much.

On a positive note Jeff Skinner (a player I am not all that enamored with) was really good in this game.

Skinners record is 19 Wins and 15 losses

On a conference leading team. Really its absolutely ridiculous for our #1 to have this many losses. I guess tonight we can't use the "Skinner gets all the tough games" excuse. This is the can't shoot straight Dead Wings playing without even Patrick Kane. Skinner makes them look like contenders.

Save % only matters until the SV% is good. Then we have to start nit picking the breakaway goal and tip an inch in front of his glove and pretend those are bad goals instead.

The saves down the stretch to salvage a point? Those don’t matter.

You know if Skinner's save percentage started with a .8 it would've been posted ad nauseam in this thread by now.

He just finished the month of January with a .921 save percentage to follow his .913 in December. He's been good for a long while now.

Skinner let the Wings back in as per usual. Guy on one end makes a dozen stops to close the door. Skinner makes a few stops here and there and people are bowed down in prayer. lol the telecast in the third period theres a sequence where one Wing shot right into Skinners pad, the next shot missed the net, and Debrusk is hollering on for 5 mins about how those were two "really difficult saves" by Skinner. At another moment in the third they're saying the Oilers record the last two months is mainly due to Skinner. Which is lol fabrication.

So thats part of what gets me wound up. Every f***ing telecast these bozos are winding up Skinners next contract. Its like a trainwreck in slow motion.
