Only if the NHL changes the rules to increase scoring again.
Crosby was the only player to break 90 points this season and scoring has been trending downward since the lockout.
Hall has been over PPG his last two seasons, at 21 and 22. Coming on these boards I see how jaded Oilers fans have been. We, for the first time since 1990 (although I guess you can throw Weight's name in there too), have a star player on our roster. In fact, we have four guys who are likely to be better than anything we've had since the Weight era - and likely better than anyone we've had since Messier won us a cup.
We've gone through a lot of suffering to get where we are, but we have three potential superstars in this lineup and people are selling Yak short way too early. An actual defense core moving the puck up to these kids and they're going to make a lot of people shut up quite quick.
Hall -35-50g, 95-110p
RNH - 20-40g, 80-100p
Yakupov 30-60g, 75-110p
Eberle 30-45g, 70-90p
Schultz... I think he's a really tough one to call and personally think he might be the kid of ours that I think is overhyped. I certainly have doubts he'll ever hit 50 points in the NHL but I think it's safe to say 15g, 40p is attainable for him - hopefully he can improve the play in his own end along the way.
