I am worried about the two games in Columbus. It is just not the Jackets way to do things the easy way. I can see us losing both games here, then losing game 5 in D.C., Comeback with a win in Columbus for game six. And then win in double over time in game 7 in Washington. Unfortunately, that seems to be the Jackets way. It would be nice if they chose a new path and swept the games here but ..........

The good news is a team with a 2-0 usually wins.

On the other hand, I'm not sure how Holtby changes things. He seems to play well against us.

Old Guy premonitions:

1. Bob goes "beast mode" and pitches a shutout until the final horn or the game is no longer in doubt.
2. The Jackets unleash like they did on Montreal last year and the Capitals ears begin to bleed from cannon blasts.
3. Pierre LucDubois goes "man child" on somebody in white this evening.
4. Seth Jones announces his candidacy for the Norris next year........without saying a word.
5. Rimer screws up a player's name each period.
6. After PLD goes "man child", Tom Wilson tries something similar but it comes off as "child man".
7. Ian Cole and David Savard each thump somebody......real good.
8. By the end of the evening, Washington wishes they could change places with Anaheim and only get beat 1-8.
9. Too much talking heads between periods. Still wish Anson Carter had those dreadlocks.
10. Stan Bowman watches Panarin and sobs uncontrollably for periods 2 and 3.

It would be the capitals and jackets way of tormenting their fans if every game was won by the away team, but the good news is we would be the last away team of the series.

Oh....and the Home team blows at least a 2 goal lead in each game.

I know people don't like to mix the Jackets and Buckeyes, but I REALLY want them to play seven nation army so we can get that chant going in Nationwide. I feel like at an indoor stadium it would amplify and it'd easily be heard on the broadcast.

This song gets played at hundreds of stadiums... I'll never forget leaving a Jack White concert at the LC when I overheard: "I can't believe he closed with the Ohio State song! That was so cool of him!". Like, I'm pretty sure Jack White doesn't give a single f*** about OSU lol.

What I find interesting about Holtby is is water bottle concentration routine.

He’ll turn around, grab the bottle, squirt a line of water in the air and then watch it fall to the ice. Repeat x20 throughout the game.

Maybe it’s just the nerd in me but I find player routines/superstitions/etc interesting.
