Cam said they completely dominated that period. I hope he doesn't get asked to pee in a cup by the league during intermission.

I'm not sure how we can look so dominant yet produce so little in terms of opportunity. Not even like Fleury has had to make too many crazy saves

At some point , posters here will give credit to Pitt for clearing their net constantly. We have no chance for rebounds, which is why they will sweep the series.

Pens playing team Canada Sochi defense just stacking up dudes to block shots. Very annoying

It's the difference between effort and results. You can put all the effort in the world in perimeter shots, east west passes, and gathering pucks in the corner only to throw it back to the points and 'hope for the best' but unless you get results out of it, it doesn't mean anything.

Long story short, they're putting their effort into 'thinking what they'd like to do' and not enough effort into what they need to do.

Half the time I think the forwards think there's a 3-second rule for the key, because there is virtually NOBODY down low at any given time. Mainly because the forwards are scrambling on the boards the second the puck is not on a defenseman's stick.

Not often I agree with MFrone but....everyone here seems high on the hit counts. I'm all for good forechecking and physical play but in the Rock Paper Scissors of hockey, goals beats hits. If there was anything that was learned at the world cup this year is that the physical play versus skill comes up short. Hockey is not a demolition derby; it's a race of thoroughbreds and right now Pittsburgh's clearly the thoroughbreds.

We just need to keep doing what we are doing. We are outplaying them and pretty badly if you ask me. You can't just put all your players in front of your goaltender all series. It will eventually stop working.

It's so frustrating watching the pens pretty much suck (by their standards) and a goal comes that effortlessly. Some puck luck would be nice about now.

The Penguins goal by Rust was luck too. It bounced off of Kessel's feet, on his off side, and miraculously to Rust in the slot. Bob was not great on that one either.

This Pittsburgh is playing with really good structure. They do a good job of helping their goalie. It will take a strong effort by the Jackets to get to net, fight for space and rebounds.
