I gotta admit I'm pretty disappointed that Boll is in the lineup. I'm sure Tropp & Letestu are also thrilled.

You would play Frattin over Boll?? That's crazy....Boll has playoff experience, all be it, 4 games, but that's more than 11 of our guys. I'll never understand the hate over a dude that only plays 6 or 7 min a night, he isn't losing any games for us and Frattin is a ECHL player at best.

Serious question, how is Richards going to get him into a matchup where he can succeed on the road? If it was a home game I could see it but not on the road.

Frattin showed a scoring touch more recently than Jared Boll did, and he looked okay in the playoffs last season for Toronto. Boll's playoff resume consists of somehow going -2 in 5 minutes of ice time.

Why not give him a shot?

I went above and beyond to assure that I'd be available to watch every game. I gave myself another concussion. Fortunately this one isn't as serious as the one a month ago but I'm still off work for a little while.

I'm so excited about tonight! I have beer in the fridge that, sadly, I can't drink, but I can look at it. If the boys come out like we know they can then we have a real chance. They just need to remember that we're in this for a reason, it's earned, and go out there and kick some Penguin ass!

Boll's job isn't to score goals!! when is everyone going to stop only wanting the guy that has more goals in, that's not the way to win. Frattin hasn't shown anything, we need to hit the Pens every chance we get and Boll does that, Frattin hasn't hit anything, including the net, this is a no brainer for Richards. The young guys are much more comfortable with Boll in their lineup, especially on the road in a hostle environment, i don't even know why we are talking about this.

the poorly timed penalites he's had in the last few games is why i'd rather have Frattin in...

Typically he is good about the poorly timed penalties, the last couple games have not been the norm, imo. Frattin just doesn't do anything, nobody on Pitt is looking over their shoulder for Frattin.

Last time I checked, the point of the game was to score more goals than the other team. Since Pittsburgh isn't going to dress an enforcer, why dress Boll?

The only thing Boll brings to the table is that he annoys other fans. Sure it's annoying when fans with glass seats have to buy new drinks because Boll's thunderous glass checks knocks their beer off the boards ledge, but has a Boll glass check ever injured a fan like a Tropp glass check has?

If our team doesn't feel comfortable in a game because a player is or isn't dressed, we've got huggggggeeeee problems.

21 year old guys like knowing a vet is in the lineup that has their back. And it's not just about fighting, it's forechecking and hitting, that's the key to us beating Pitt. I'm not even getting into this again with you guys, spoils my mood and I'm in a great mood, it's the playoff, quit *****ing before the game even starts and enjoy the ride people!

I think the concern about Boll taking ill-advised penalties is legit. But Frattin offers very little to get excited about. If, and that is a big if, Boll plays smart, he can contribute.

And I am no Boll fan but due to the nature of the playoffs its a good call to have him in the lineup. It's going to be physical out there, and he's a bruiser. Let him do what we gave him a 3 year contract to do.

I'm a big fan of Boll because I met him a few times and he was a really cool guy. Also because he's been here awhile and I don't dislike anyone who has been here awhile.

That said I don't have a lot in my arsenal to justify why he gets a start today. I'm happy for him but lately it's been dumb penalty after dumb penalty.

And feel free to have your way with the Rangers.

Nah, I would rather CBJ knock Nash out of the playoffs on their way to the Cup Finals :naughty:

Anyways, Just picked up my bottle of JD Tennessee Honey, so I would like to apologize to everyone in advance of tonight's game. if I get a little talkative :help:

Heck, I'm hardly a Boll fan but I'd take him over Frattin... Frattin was in for two games then vanished, I agree with EDM, if Boll stops taking dumb penalties and plays smart he can contribute... better.. ;)
