Actually, it's been that way all season, as long as the goalies are decent, not great but competent, they can play with anyone.
But when the goalies are bad, this team struggles, not because of heart but because they just don't have the talent to win up tempo, shoot out games, and when your goalie puts you in a hole, that's what you have to do.
The playoffs have revealed the core of players Ron is building around, Patrick, Couts, Provorov.
And that's a pretty solid trio.
TK, Sanheim, Lindblom, lots of promise but they're not quite ready to play with the big boys. Like the kids on the way, they'll need to grow into their bodies and their potential. But I don't see the same promise as from the key three.
Ghost, Giroux and Voracek can provide support, but they're not good enough to carry this team, after two playoff series that's become obvious.
So to me, they're worth keeping, but also worth listening to offers.
Simmonds is expendable. Hasn't scored a goal in his last 11 PO games.
The rest, just bodies.
