Trouba was a change of scenery player. Kreider is a 33 year old power forward with a bad back. The two are not comparable.
I do not think there was a single Ranger fan that viewed Trouba as more valuable than CK. Guys recover from back trouble. CK would not be the first. He looked okay last night and scored our only goal.

September 29th 2011, that is the day you signed up.

Today is February 18 2025.

That means You've been here nearly 14 years.

And you are asking HFBOARDS for honest trade values?

You've been here nearly 14 years you should know by now this is the your player is worth 6 1st round picks and your top 2 prospects OR he's worth nothing.

And some guys do not recover from back troubles. Especially those whose games require physicality. Getzlaf started breaking down the same way about the same age. He regains his value AFTER he’s proven he can recover and stay recovered, not before.

Please Give Honest Trade Values For Each Or Any Of These NY Rangers Individually.

With as ll players...if they have NMC/no trade protections will hurt return
Mika Zibanejad
He has negative value. With 5 full years left at a high cap hit.

I put JT in the same bucket in falling of a cliff before the contract ud over
Chris Kreider

He has 2 full yrs left. Hes not doing well to returnuch. He could have a rebound year next yr and get more but need to retain

K'Andre Miller

He is a LD so that automatically reduces retutn vs a RD. He has short term the RFA at end so he has decent value

Hes likely the biggest return in a trade with him at RD and his contract ends on his 30 yr old st start of season
Artemi Panarin

He has 1+ rental value so he should get decent return.

Chris Kreider is 33 years old.

Chris Kreider has 11 points in 47 games at 5-on-5. Eleven.

Chris Kreider has one powerplay assist (secondary) in 60 minutes of power play time this season.

Chris Kreider has 2.5 years left at $6.5m and a NMC.

You are either being tongue in cheek or you are typing this post from 2023.
Chris Kreider is still pacing for 28 goals. The cap is going up. It wouldn't cost a 2nd to move him. There would be something positive coming back. We can debate that value but he wouldn't be moved as a negative asset.

Kreider: someone will talk themselves into Kreider during the summer when only two years left becomes much more manageable. 2nd round pick in the summer. Mangiapane, Reilly Smith, Connor Brown deals as comps

Zibanejad: I think you're starting with a PLD from last summer move as an absolute best case scenario. Moved to a team that needs a center for another bad contract at another position. His age compared to PLD and his NMC clause really limits the market though. Zibanejad to Seattle for Burakovsky?

K'andre Miller: Chychrun to Washington as a comp. Either in exchange for a steadier vet with term plus a small draft bonus or a 1st straight up. How about K'Andre Miller to Chicago for Connor Murphy?

Fox: Not worth discussing as he will not get moved

Panarin: This would probably also have to be a summer move. The Rantanen deal is the obvious comp, even though Rantanen is younger and IMO better than Panarin. Best case scenario, it's 1-1ish with a younger, up and coming forward. The NMC though once again really limits destinations here. Panarin to DC for McMichael+medium draft capital? LA straight up for Fiala? Florida for Lundell? I'm really struggling here
Mika Zibanejad

Chris Kreider

K'Andre Miller

Adam Fox

Artemi Panarin

Zibanejad - High risk, it would cost you a 1st to move him.
Kreider - Moderate risk, it would cost you a 2nd to move him.
Miller - More than a 1st... maybe a top prospect or young top6 NHL forward.
Fox - Pettersson straight up. (NOT saying they should trade for him, just using him as a place holder for value.)
Panarin - Full NMC hurts his value. Like JT Miller he can pick his spot so you take what you can get.
Trouba got traded it won’t cost to Trade Kreider he will be desired

Zib you just keep

Id give you a 1st for Miller. Probably add a decent prospect on top of the pick.

I'm not interested in any of the other pieces. Obviously I would love to add Panarin/fox in a vacuum but I don't think the cost would work for my team so I won't give you a low ball offer.

Zibanejad will be hard to move without salary retention. If Rangers can absorb 2.5M per year he can be moved.
To Colorado Zibanejad @ 6M
To rangers Mittlestadt @ 5.75 + Zib 2.5 M on cap hit
But not sure Colorado really want to doing that trade

Sabres open for Business if you are moving Fox. You can have Byram Ostlund and a 1st or Power and Ostlund. Personally, would prefer to get EP40 we need Centers. I want a steady top end D to compliment Dahlin or anchor second pair. getting both is Sabres dream scenario lol.

What would you feel about an exchange of those two guys?

Mika Zibanejad
while we are seeing some return from the abyss, obv he sucked ass for a month and a half and that plus contract full pop is unmovable except for an even worse contract, and that is notwithstanding that he has a strong nmc, which we think he would only move to NYI or BOS.

So it starts w/full pop 50% retention so it is 4.25
then you get a 3rd team like ANA to eat like 1.75 per x 4 seasons after this [ducks throw a bone for last 20 something games], which per Marleau standard = like 4 6ths, or in that area. In lieu of 4 6ths, Rs cough up Smith, who they can use and is worth a 2nd

So now you have Zib at 2.5ish per to NYI
at that #, plus fact Zib would be younger add they need, plus fact they need to do some crazy shit like this to get back butts in the seats,
this works for them
expiring cap dump(s) to NYR is fine

going forward Rs listen to bern and no more nmcs
extensive ntcs, maybe, but no nmcs

Chris Kreider
depends on the status of his back
after first coupla months, back issues
has gotten better w/rest and reduced duty
a team would have to want to take a chance that this is mostly ok going forward
he can't be expected to go 111% full tilt 111% of the time,
but he can go often enough, and is electric when he does

unlike Zib, Rs do NOT HAVE TO trade ck
so small # of competitive bids drives up price,
for a bit extra retaining is possible, so assume that is the case
mid 1st or better plus better high end younger player

K'Andre Miller
this is a guy w/all you want -- size, reach, strength, sufficient speed
has time to time been victimized by bad partner and tried to do too much

I would want top $ here and that would be set by competitive bidding, which will not be ferocious, but legitimate

I am inclined to keep at 6-ish x 8 w/no nmc, decent ntcs
but will consider offers

Adam Fox
want top, top $
his game has warts but it is also elite in parts

am open to smaller deal, or lots of pref primo youth

Artemi Panarin
max retain to like DAL for late 1st + Bischel
ny eats reasonable cap dump for cap balance
Using deadline retention prices to account for full year multi year retention is not accurate at all

1 and a half months of 34 year old Rick Nash on pace for a 35 point season returned a 1st, Ryan Spooner, Ryan Lindgren and Matt Beleskey,

Maybe so but it happens more than you may realize in pro sports. We traded ours earlier this season. Eventually most of them get traded.
Sabres...trade....every captain. We just gave him the C this year. He is also our best player, and I don't think fox is quite as good.
