Post-Game Talk: Please Disburse, Nothing To See Here! Seattle 6, Oilers 1

This just isn’t our year. Many of our players have been banged up (Now add Ekholm to the injury pile) and our goaltending has been a mess. The defense honestly looked solid for a good chunk of the year but I think it all revolves around Ekholm and how good/bad he is feeling. It may also be related to confidence in goaltending. Many forwards have also underperformed (notably the forwards we re-signed and brought in on contracts). To add insult to injury, most of the players we let go are thriving in other organizations. Just a nightmare year from start to finish and I kind of hope it ends soon.

I’d we play this meekly and passively against Calgary the home crowd will have a conniption.

Have some damn pride.

I’d like to see Rodrigue get another game, probably not thrown to the wolves against Calgary or Vegas, but maybe Thursday against the Sharks if they saw enough to give Stu a break until then.

I don’t want it to happen cause I want us to win but I might die of laughter if we lose in the first round and Frederic doesn’t play a game for us.

I just don't see us going anywhere especially is Connor and Leon aren't healthy. We need a big time overhaul of this team. A high compete level is an absolute must for players that we target this offseason.

Someone said that Stauffer was talking about a big European forward? Aren't we linked to that German player?

I wouldn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Also, I wonder how honest the Bruins were about the Frederic injury? Dude might not even play a game for us in the regular season and we gave up some assets that could have garnered at least a bottom 6 player to help the team right away.

Apparently the team had a best case and a worst case scenario in mind, and they knew.
But the fact that we got double retention just throwing around assets for retention we don’t even need is just…so amazing.

Frederic could've added a physical spark tonight. I'm tired of this team playing emotionless hockey.
