Sigh. I get it. But if we don't get Kochetkov a game in this first round, we're asking for trouble. We KNOW he struggles after long breaks between games, and after tonight, we're looking at at least a week and a half between his last start

To be fair, he was struggling like a mofo even in his recent starts, so I completely get it with just not trusting him right now. We need to win tonight, we need to hold serve at home. If there's a time to work in Kooch and/or Nikishin, its one of the 2 in NJ.

Freddie was as well, so I think a lot you can chalk up to the entire team f***ing around at the end of the season
See, I assume we're not winning one of the Jersey games anyway, due to our road struggles, so Game 5 would be the best time for him/Nikishin to get a game. But if we do that, we're talking over two weeks between starts for Kooch, and it's difficult to picture a win in that case.

Im honestly surprised Hughes returned to Game 1 at all. Based on how he went off the ice, it definitely looked like an arm injury.
Glass being healthy enough to play is also crazy, because he looked like he got the worst out of all 3

At a certain point I wonder if Glass is going to play because he's the least bad off and they just need bodies.

We definitely need to take advantage of an even further depleted Devils team. Can't have them stealing a game under these circumstances. I think for now, Freddie is still the right call in net.
