Playoffs Positivity Thread

This is still my line of thinking. I wouldn't trade places with Columbus at all.
We're in the driver's seat. If we don't make it, we'll have lots of time to rest up + find a 2C.

If we make the playoffs, I'm going to be so f***ing pumped lol. The Demidov x-factor makes it so fascinating, irregardless of how unlikely we are to beat Washington. Demidov has pro-level playoff experience already and he was brilliant.
They only have 1 more win to go, and all they need is the Habs to lose tomorrow, which is a very high probability.

Well, St. Louis is crushing Utah 4-1 mid 2nd period so it looks like they'll clinch.

Anaheim & Minnesota are tied at 1-1 after 2. Minnesota just needs a point to clinch.

Calgary might be cooked .....

I'm worried about a young team trying to avoid an epic collapse. Like the Leafs blowing a 3-1 lead to us. Please tell me we aren't the Leafs.

this will be epic collapse if we fail to get a win tomorrow.
They technically only need 1 point, they don't even need to win. Just get to OT.

But they are getting into the playoffs backward the way they played the last few games regardless of game result (issues were apparent while they were still winning games, recurring issues since the start of the season). Which doesn't bring much confidence for what comes after...or even next season.

We have better odds.
Do you want to switch situations with Columbus?

Columbus needs to win in regulation, and they need us to get 0 points.
Don't get me wrong, I won't be mad if the Habs clinch tomorrow, but I also won't be if they miss the playoffs. I don't think the team is anywhere near ready for a playoff run, and I don't want our guys to go on a pointless run just to get injured and eliminated in 4-5 games for a roster that's going to change this off-season.

I'm confident that if the Habs lose tomorrow, that Columbus won't screw up against the Islanders.

Like I've always said, it's up to the Habs to win and get in, but they haven't shown us that they care enough to do it yet.

My positivity is waning. Blue Jackets have been looking unbeatable and the Habs look beaten. Don’t know what happened, but I hope that they can at least get a point tomorrow. If not, yeah, we get a slightly better draft pick ….. 🤮

Don’t be worried. Win or lose, this is a great learning opportunity for this young squad.
this ^^^ I mean, all of us would've taken this at the beginning of the year. 1 point in the last game of the season to make the playoffs in year 3 of a rebuild.
If they blow it, hopefully they come back with resolve and HuGo recognize / address the pieces that are missing to take the next step.
