Ha, must suck to be a Wings fan. Probably getting eliminated just before the season ends, just like last season. Take that faux-hockey town.
It must suck to be a Detroit fans. Missing the playoff back to back and drafting 15-16....No Savior coming up for Detroit. I can see another 3-5 years finish in no man's land. Feel bad for them.

Is kinda funny, we are entering the playoff with the lowest point (like the Caps last year).

Reminds me of something... :sarcasm:

Treat tomorrow like a game 7. Gotta get at least one point

Not that important. If the habs win just 1 of their last 5 games, Detroit would need to win 4 of 6 games to make it, and I can't see Detroit doing that when they have the hardest schedule in the league left.

Nobody expected us to sweep the Panthers this season either. While things are grim for Detroit, let’s treat tonight and Thursday as absolute must wins.

Some of the teams they are playing will be resting their players before the playoffs begin. This game is very important.

Every sports fan should know about the collapse of the 1964 Phillies-

The collapse of the 1964 Philadelphia Phillies is one of the most infamous events in baseball history. The team was in first place in the National League for most of the season and held a 6.5-game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals with just 12 games left to play. However, the Phillies went on a historic losing streak, losing 10 consecutive games in September.

I like our chances at the Cup tbh
They are 100:1 lol you should it that.

I’ll reinvest some of my « Habs in the playoffs » bet for sure! I took that bet because I thought 8.5 to 1 was way to large. Similarly I think 100:1 is also way too large.

In my book, worst teams entering the playoffs should be 32 to 1 (half the odds of the average playoff team) and the best team 8 to 1 (twice the odds of average playoff team)

Bonus: being long Habs is FUN

- MTL reg. win vs. DET: MTL reg. win = MTL moves 8 pts ahead of DET. DET has a game in hand. But even a win in OT/SO will move them 7 pts ahead.

- CBJ reg. loss vs. OTT: CBJ is pretty much out of it, but a regulation loss + MTL win: MTL moves out of reach of CBJ, even if CBJ will have a game in hand.
- NYI reg. loss vs. NSH: NYI reg. loss + MTL win = MTL moves 9 pts ahead of NYI. NYI will have a game in hand. As unlikely as it would be for NSH to win this.

Some might prefer for OTT to lose so MTL can get closer to them, but the priority here is to clinch a playoff spot, so it's more important to widen the gap between the teams behind.

It was 240:1 less than two weeks ago. I was tempted at dropping 100 to 200.

Actually last year, they got eliminated in the final game of the year. They needed to beat Montreal while also hoping Philly beats Washington.

Do you remember when Red Wings beat Habs in the shootout, but their celebration was somber because they learned that Caps beat Philly and thus didn't qualify?

Caps had won 2-1, with Oshie scoring with 3 minutes left in the 3rd. Wings and Caps ended with 91 pts, but Caps had more RWs and thus won the tie-breaker.
