Playoffs Positivity Thread

That just seems strange to me because when I think of Laviolette coached teams of the past, I think of teams that play the opposite style of hockey that you described. Is it a case of a dinosaur coach not being able to adapt to the league changing?

His philosophy has always been that the best defense is a good offense. He's said so in coaching conferences in the past (Yes, I'm a big nerd who watches those). I think that the game has passed him however. Maurice has stayed fresh over the years, even though he maintains some old school (shooting even if it means low percentage shots, playing very in your face and physical, etc). Montgomery is one of the best imo right now, so is MSL but MSL needs to refine his coaching in many areas. Cooper has probably been the best coach of the last decade.

Guentzel and Kucherov are so damn smart. Point is one of the best skaters in the league, he's agile and always in movement. Those three are just terrific together. Then they have Hagel, Cirelli and Paul on the second line which is also ridiculous. TB is still a major threat.

Also, Rangers are done for the season. Down 4-1. They're pretty much out.

What are the Rangers playoff odds with a loss tonight? Can someone reference a site that shows updated odds please
I don't know, but it basically comes down to 5 points.

5 points earned by the Habs.

5 points lost by the Rangers, or missed if you will.

Combination of the two.

Habs would lose the tie breaker, so that's why they need the extra point
