Columbus loss and us winning would pretty much give us a good cushion. Still would like a few more wins but I feel like Washington are actually the easiest team to beat first round.

I'm hoping the Panthers actually lose-out the remainder of the regular season and then end up being the #7 seed, facing off against the Maple Leafs.
It would be funny to see Toronto lose in the first round and see the fanbase implode, again.

If they win all their games Rangers, Jackets and Detroit can only top at 91 pts now. Islanders at 90 pts. So 89 pts is basically winning all their remaining games.
Rangers now at 4 pts of the Habs.
Detroit/Jackets at 6 pts of the Habs.
They have 6-7 games left. They would need to win all their games or for the Habs to lose all theirs for them to take WC2. So the Habs still in control of their destiny...

Could almost argue Ottawa losing is better for us. The metro half of the bracket looks like an easier path than the Atlantic.
