Playoffs Positivity Thread

Good night. Columbus finally scores a goal after being shut-out the last 2 games. Olivier was the last Blue Jacket to score, too.

Allen brought his A game. CBJ stays one point back but Montreal now holds a game in hand.

Bruins limited to a point by Sabres. Boston is 2 pts back, but Montreal has 3 games in hand.

Calgary getting absolutely crushed by Toronto, 6-1. That's actually not going to affect them in the standings since they have games in hand on everyone and no one chasing them in West is playing tonight.

Do people still see Boston has a treat? 3 games in hand with 2 points on them, they are 3-6-1 in their last 10 and losing Marchand I don't see them getting better.
They're way out of it now. Assuming 91 points MAYBE gets you a wildcard spot, then Boston would need to get 22 points in their 13 remaining games, meaning they'd have to go 11-2 to MAYBE squeak in.

Does anyone know how Demidov's playoff eligibility works?

For him to be eligible for the playoff run wouldn't he have to sign an ELC with us before our regular season ends?

How can the Habs face Washington in the first round without Halak?
In all honesty, I think Washington would be a pretty good matchup for us. At this point, we need to just get in, the boys have been playing good hockey since the 4nations without Guhle/Dach and a one legged Laine.

Whatever happens, the team is trending in the right direction. We need an answer at 2C for now. I’d try to lock Duchesne up to a 2-3 year deal. Overpay a bit if necessary to keep the term low.

The boys have been playing every game like a playoff game for awhile now, let’s see if they can sustain it.

I'm still bothered by the horrible officiating that gift wrapped the Rangers a regulation win over us at Madison Square Garden several months ago. I really hope that isn't the difference when the regular season ends.
For some reason, some of the worst calls I've ever seen have been in favour of the Rangers. The game you mention was horrifically one-sided, and who could forget this classic from years ago: a Ranger pulls Price out of his nets all the way to the boards, leaving the net wide open for a Rangers goal... which the refs allowed.

The only allowed goal I've seen that was worse was Zibanejads soccer kick in the playoffs.
