18 games left boys...............2 pts back.
3 games with FLA left is a bit of a hitch, although they don't have Ekblad or Matthew USA in the lineup.

I think it's 5 left with the West........and 13 vs the East.........they have some control. Easy to tell The Big Line wants to be in the playoffs.

Well, the point moves us out of the 4-way tie with NYR, Detroit & Boston into sole possession of 9th.

One point back of CBJ (WC2). Four points back of Ottawa (WC1). Both have a game in hand.

Both play it tomorrow.

Bruins @ Senators. Boston has won 2 consecutive games and seem to be playing fine since the TDL sell-off. We need them to win in regulation.

Vegas @ Columbus. Vegas is the 4th best team in NHL. They're 7-2-1 in last 10. CBJ is a really good home team, though. We need Vegas to win in regulation.

Rangers @ Wild. Rags have lost 2 consecutive games, and are 4-4-2 in last 10. Minnesota is also been really average lately (5-5-0) and are mediocre at home. This is a real toss up, but hopefully Wild can at least keep Rags to 1 pt.

A Little bit of depth would have really helped at the at the TDL. I don't think they needed much either as MSL seems to make the most of a roster with limited talent. Even one winger would have helped.

Yeah, I can understand not selling but Gorton said if the team was close they may bring in help then they did nothing.

I understand prices were high, but we have the draft picks. Kunin would have been a solid pickup. They should have looked at bringing in someone like Isac Lundestrom from Anaheim. *sigh*

...I know it matters in the Standings, but I dunno if I can hope for Boston...feel sick just thinkin' about it...

Ottawa trashed Boston, and it looks like they're pretry much in. They're 5 points up on WC2 now. In fact, they're closer to 3rd again (4 pts from TB). That seems a lot to overcome with such few games left now.

Sens next 2 games:
@ Toronto on Saturday
@ Montreal on Tuesday.

CBJ at least lost to Vegas, but NYR beat Minnesota in OT. There's another huge game between the 2 on Saturday.

CBJ @ NYR. We actually want CBJ to win this in regulation, I think. We're closer to them in RWs then NYR.

NJD have pretty much settled their playoff spot, too. 8 pts up is definitely too much.

Detroit has 2 really tough matches:

@ Carolina tonight
host Vegas on Sunday

Montreal welcomes Florida to the Bell Center on Saturday.

It sort of sucks that the Rangers play the Jackets tomorrow. Even if our game ends before the Rangers/Jackets game and we win, we're only going to hold a playoff spot for a matter of seconds until one of them gets 2 points.

It's just like the last time we were in a wildcard spot, the very next night the 2 teams directly below us played and one was guaranteed to overtake us lol.

Wings officially lose, 4-2 to Canes.

Imo, WC2 is now between CBJ, NYR & Montreal.

Boston & Detroit are holding on by a thread it seems, but it's an illusion. Both will be 4 pts out by tomorrow night. That's too much right now & too many teams to jump.

Wings have a brutal schedule. They host Vegas on Sunday and are @ Washington Tuesday.

Bruins are @ TBL Saturday.

Leafs could easily beat the sens, and if we can do it right after that's 4 points dropped for OTT. Still possible to drag them back down to free up WC1, but who knows. We just got to win our games, and at the very least don't lose in regulation

Yea, if we win the 2 games against Ottawa in regulation then we'd only have to make up 2 points to catch them. Their fate is still fully in their own hands, so hopefully they come to play every game down the home stretch.
