With a win tonight and loss from Ottawa and NYR, it would put us in the WC2 and just 1pt behind CLB. I know we have lots of games left but with everyone losing last night, tonight could be a turning point for us and may be the 2pts we need if we happen to just miss the POs.
We play tomorrow night (Thursday). We still need both NYR & Ottawa to lose. Hopefully Chicago plays Knight tonight.
Washington is at least a tough match-up for NYR.

Edmonton game is thursday................last night was a fantastic night, most teams we needed to lose did so......the Oilers are struggling, hopefully our guys are still big time motivated about the WC spots and can keep the Oilers down. What a great night for the Habs and they didn’t even play…..all these playoff possible teams losing- Boston, Flyers, Columbus, Detroit.
Let’s beat Edm tonight…..pick up a quality 2C and make our big push at the end to get in…..hopefully to play against the Leafs.
Ah my bad!! i thought the EDM game was tonight...caliss! lol thanks!
all part of the process. And I think it shows the team is learning resilience and consistency by not throwing in the towel and TWICE having hot runs to get them back in the mix. I think it is a sign that our rebuild is moving forward and we're not going to be stuck in perpetual suckage.Playing to make the playoffs is more interesting than not and could have been much easier had they not sucked so bad early on in the season.
Never man. Better increase as much as possible our chances to make the playoff then cling onto the hope of a good CGY pick in the 12-15 range. It’s been too long since we had PO hockey.Edmonton is struggling so hopefully get that W and then drop the game in OT to Calgary on Saturday to ensure they stay out of the bottom 10.

Hawks score 2 goals in 44 seconds to take a 2-1 leadOh well ....
Sens lead 1-0.
Rangers down 1-0.
If Rangers lose & Sens win, Ottawa takes over WC2. It'll be the 3rd straight day that WC2 changed teams 3 different times:
Detroit --> NYR --> Ottawa.
Hawks score 2 goals in 44 seconds to take a 2-1 lead
Rangers tied with the Caps 1-1
Hughes out may open a door for team like Montreal
Not to mention this recent hot streak is without our 1D, Kaiden Guhle.all part of the process. Obviously Demidov coming over and Laine being healthier will be big plusses, but here's a few underrated factors going into next season:
-Montembault is what he is at this point, but if Dobes makes an improvement (even a modest one), he can be the 1A goalie and further reduce the net issues, which would surely lead to alot more Ws and OT/SO points.
-Slafkovsky is going to be one year older, and in terms of physical development that could be huge in terms of him asserting himself. He's showing he's starting to understand the mental side of being a power forward, but knowing he has room to grow into his body every coming season is exciting to see what progress he makes and how it might help him dominate.
-Newhook is going to play in the bottom six where he belongs
-All our D prospects will be 1 year older so I think it will bode well for our depth and our options
-Evans-Anderson will return as a PK duo
-Hutson gets an off-season to train....can't wait
Yuck, 2-1 Rangers & 3-2 Sens. Both late in 2nd period.
