It's insane we're still in a playoff spot. We just had a 5 game loss streak, yet we still have the most points in the last 10 out of the entire pack. Our 11 out of the last 20 possible points puts us 1st ahead the Rangers 9, Jackets 7, Isles 9, Wings 8 and Bruins 5.

All 4 of the teams we're competing with are in the top 7 most difficult remaining schedules. We're at 28th.
So it's still very much in our hands. That being said, I still have very little confidence in us winning the games "we're supposed to win".

Habs back in the WC2 and they are still in full control of their destiny.

NYR : 8 games left, 4 at home
Col : 10 games left 6 at home
NYI : 9 games left, 5 at home (After Today)
Det : 9 games left,, 3 at home

The one team with the best streak will take that last WC spot.
With 6 games out of 9 at home, Habs are in a good position

Islanders stay 3 pts back of Montreal, same gp. Due to Montreal winning in regulation, the two teams also now have the same RW. Montreal leads in ROW.

Islanders now have a 3 game homestand. They play Tampa Bay, Minnesota & Washington.

It has to be the saddest sack of teams competing for a playoff spot ever. Usually bubble teams are hungry and winning a lot. There must be data to compare teams’ this season to the past 20 seasons. All teams (including the Habs) have been an embarrassment.
