Carrier, Laine and Dach waking up shows us more of what this team -is- currently. Newhook following Dach up the trend line would be great. We haven't seen the best of Laine yet, he's basically a stationary cannon right now.
That's just scary for the rest of the league.

Habs are the #1 team* since December 15th with a 70% Laine, a misfiring Newhook, a 90% Slaf, a Gallagher running on fumes and now a <4 minutes Pezz instead of Heineman.

*tied with Dallas in points, but Habs have the better point percentage since they played one less game.

The Habs have put themselves in a position where the most important game is the next one.
I considered that would be an impossibility in mid November.
It beats the hell out of watching games hoping the opposition would go up three or four goals and as such your favorite(s) could put up some points without ruining the tank.

Hutson started heating up at the end of November.

The team really started clicking when Laine returned on Dec 3rd. The team was coming off 1 win in 5. I think they’ve won 13/19gp since.

4-3 from Laine’s return to Carrier’s arrival (Dec 20), and even better after.

The other shot in the arm was after Christmas when Dobes arrived and Dach started to produce after having 1 pt in 16 GP.

- Hutson
- *Laine*
- Carrier
- Dobes/Dach

The importance of 2nd line production makes Demidov’s arrival very exciting.

We improved as the team got healthier. But the Carrier addition can't be understated. That's made a world of difference to the lineup. Hutson's with Matheson, Ghule's back on his natural side... that's massive.

If we play them we're just gonna destroy them again, it would be epic.
Leafs aren’t gonna like this rivalry. It’s gonna turn soon enough.

Caufield and Suzuki have already had success.

Add Hutson and Demidov.

Laine with his PP production.

The Xhekaj brothers!

Heck, even Andy seems to produce against them. Add Beck and Hage to the contingent of Ontario players.
