GDT: PLAYOFFS: Canes game in Jersey? What exit?

So, assuming we win this series, how many times is that we've eliminated Haula from the playoffs? I think we also need to count the year the Devils didn't make the playoffs because I think we beat them most games that year in the regular season. We could probably even count 2020 because we traded him to Florida who didn't make it out of the "qualifying round", so he got eliminated by us via the trade!

If we win tomorrow with Pyotr, that’s probably a week of rest and recovery for Freddie which is nice. Even if Washington wins game five as well we wouldn’t match up until all of round 1 is done, correct?
generally yes though it wouldn't be unheard of for a second round series to start the same day as a game 7 in another series, especially if that falls on a Saturday or Sunday.

Not really surprising, but let's hope we don't give them the opportunity to return to the lineup

Hughes was self-inflicted, Dillion got tied up with Carrier off a face off I think (so not really a hit) and I'm not sure what happened to Kovacevic.

I think Dillon was the battle in front of the net, not a faceoff, but yeah, not a hit. And Kovacevic was a blocked shot, I believe. Though it was one of those situations where no one noticed he was out until it was like “Oh, he’s not on the bench. What happened?”

This would make 4 times in 5 years:

2021 - Nashville
2022 - Boston
2023 - New Jersey
2025 - New Jersey

(The non-playoff year wouldn’t count because the Devils wouldn’t have made the playoffs even if they had won all their games against us.)

I’d imagine he has stopped leaning into playing the heel so much, considering the way it has gone for him.

Would be funnier if it was with a different team this year but I still find it absolutely hilarious that this dude who became such a little shit after he left here has become our bitch. I don't even have that much animosity towards him and never did. I view it as being all in good fun. But I don't think he did initially (and maybe still doesn't), early on even some of his former teammates here were just flabbergasted by dude's behavior at times. He actually is a pretty solid player.
