Well, I was questioning why Jankowski was a healthy scratch to start this series, and now there's a chorus of fans saying he should be put back in on the 4th line.
I said a couple of weeks ago or so that since we got him after the trade deadline, the last time I remember our 4th line looking that good was the year we won the Stanley cup in 2006. It was so refreshing to have a 4th line that was a genuine scoring threat after we got him, and Jankowski and Robinson had a lot of good plays together. Truly having all 4 lines as a scoring threat was a feeling I literally forgot. Rod messed too much with something that was working; the 4th line with Jankowski.
Now, do we run it back with him and Robinson still being on the 4th line together? Or is it Robinson that gets scratched? Right now, given the amount of success Janky and Robinson had, I think I'd scratch Roslovic. I know people are saying Carrier was bad in game 3, but I'd keep him in the lineup for some toughness on the 4th line. However, going with Robinson AND Roslovic as Jankowski's wingers is kind of interesting if you want to have more scoring fire power.
Regardless of who his wingers will be, Jankowski needs to come back to the 4th line after being a healthy scratch. Get him back in the lineup Rod!
Regarding Nikishin being added on the 3rd pairing, if there was a time to do it, now is a good time after game 3. However, I'm skeptical Rod will be okay adding him to the line up after our 1st loss in a series that we're up 2-1. Rod isn't typically generous to rookie players getting play time, and this is a unique situation with Nikishin having never played an NHL game before while we're in the playoffs. Also, we have Morrow to consider using on the blue line as well if we want to swap players out.
