Yup, love Pesce, but not missing him all that much now and feel certain I won't as he ages.

Interesting to see if they can bring it on the road. They still have some areas of the team that can be exploited, but they also had a couple of things about their road record in the regular season that make me a little less concerned about it biting us as badly in the playoffs. Just don't let it turn into the Bruins/Rags year where we couldn't win at all on the road.

Also worth noting, let's stay the **** out of the box tonight. New Jersey hasn't scored yet on the man advantage but Freddie had to play outstanding on the kill to keep it so. NJ has an elite PP this year and the horses to make you play.

In an ideal world, I'm sure that the Tulsky group would've preferred a Canes roster with Guentzel and Pesce on it. They've said something similar in past statements. The problem was the sheer amount of players that they needed to sign, plus the unfortunate reality that the Canes acted too slowly on Guentzel and their group ended up choosing a low(er)-tax state.

New Jersey is literally the worst state in the US.

I’ve never seen a more collective group of unimpressive people think so highly of themselves. Higher education for them is Duke University. The entire culture of the state is tied to its proximity to NYC and Philadelphia. They only have a professional hockey team because of NYC. Your state sucks.

How does it feel to be from a state that has a higher rate of incest than NC (look it up)? You are all obese, illiterate, neck beards and the Canes own you.

I feel good about our chances in this series overall, but this is the game that I would be most (pleasantly) surprised for us to win. First road game with the Devils fighting for their lives. Definitely hope we win though, obviously.

Yeah, I'm a bit surprised by that. The 2nd line was definitely less impactful in Game 2 than Game 1, and though they control play on their shifts, none are scoring. And Jankowski in the dot and defensive play is a much better option than Roslovic's on the road.

Janky will get a turn at some point most likely. The lineup they have has done well and I'm guessing they know in spite of his gaudy production he's not a dude that will keep shooting like 40%. I think his faceoffs and defense are certainly nice but not exactly something we have a shortage of in the lineup.

I will agree I miss the man-pretty factor though.

I already had a burrito for dinner. My husband made some kind of pulled pork in the slow cooker all day. I wrapped it up in a flour tortilla along with black beans, salsa, cheese, and sour cream.

Probably won't snack or drink during tonight's game, but I have an energy drink with my name on it that I'll probably drink around 10:00 so I can stay awake for the Kings-Oilers game.
