He is obviously injured. You can see he can't get to the spots he usually gets to.
The fact he is still battling on the boards and winning pucks, while also tangling up with the D in the offensive zone is a testament to his attitude. I think he still has something with his hip.

I couldn't care less about it when the Sens were in the hunt for a playoff spot. It was a gimmick.

As a fan who has been yearning for the playoffs since 2017, it would have been nice if our team captain, who is the force and driver of the team, had not been hurt. This is why many here hate the idea of a mid-season tournament like 4N. Our big guy is hurt because of this. Now, imagine being the team owner. Ooofff.

Well you are in the minority in not caring about it. And might be pretty new to hockey if you think international hockey only belongs at the olympics. The 1987 Canada Cup and the 1996 World cup is probably the best hockey ever played. It was amazing hockey a completely different pace than even playoff hockey. It was on at prime time with NHL arenas with NHL rules. Olympics is going to be international ice on at weird times with terrible IIHF rules. No where close to the same atmosphere either.
There hasnt been best on best for 10 years and you didnt like it. Hard to wrap my head around but some people are hockey fans and some are only fans of a singular team. Its possible to be both.

You realize the reason why Brady missed the games at the end of the season was the blindside hit he took in Buffalo after the 4N. And its the reason he is playing hurt now.

Exactly. Plus it's not like Tkachuk has been bad.
People's expectations have been skewed by hearing for the last 7 years that Brady was going to some magical playoff beast that was unstoppable. It's just not that easy, for anyone. He's scored 1 goal in 2 games. He's injured but let's hope he builds off of scoring last game.
