Can you name a Stanley Cup playoff series which has two (2) or more distinct NHL records associated with it? I'm curious how many series fit this bill.
The criteria:
1982 Smythe Div. SF bet. LA and Edmonton
The criteria:
- The records can be team-related, individual-related, game-related, etc.
- The records don't have to be in the "official" NHL record books, but they must be league-wide in scope
- The records must have been established during that playoff series
- The records should be distinct, i.e., not closely related to one another
1982 Smythe Div. SF bet. LA and Edmonton
- Most goals, from both teams combined, in a single playoff game (18 goals in the Kings' 10-8 win in Game 1)
- Biggest single-game comeback in playoff history (Kings erasing a 5-goal deficit in Game 3, the so-called "Miracle on Manchester")
- Longest game in modern NHL history (5OT game in Game 4, ended by Keith Primeau)
- First and only rookie defenseman to score a hat trick in a playoff game (Andy Delmore in Game 5)
