Listen, I don't mean to be the school principal, but we DIDN'T draft Demidov and all of the bitching and second guessing isn't going to change that. MOVE ON.
So they drafted Levshunov at 2 and tried to trade their 2026 unprotected 1st to Columbus for the 4th so they can draft Demidov. How good is Levshunov? Like if they drafted Demidov at 2. Would Levshunov go 3rd? Would he have dropped? Probably would have been easier to trade with other teams in the top 5 to 10 to draft Levshunov? No offense to Levshunov but how did Chicago pass on demidov and not team up with BeBedard
that wasn't the only trade involving the pick columbus used on lindstrom. So they drafted Levshunov at 2 and tried to trade their 2026 unprotected 1st to Columbus for the 4th so they can draft Demidov.
pretty sure anaheim would've taken levshunov over sennecke, so yes.How good is Levshunov? Like if they drafted Demidov at 2. Would Levshunov go 3rd?
If we took the Necas trade we would have believed we could have Demidov and been in the same boatthat wasn't the only trade involving the pick columbus used on lindstrom.
the other one was #4 overall for martin necas. in hindsight that would've been incredible for the jackets (imagine necas and fantilli together) and had a very interesting ripple effect across hockey where rantanen probably doesn't get traded at all.

Same could be said for ColumbusMan if there is a team that really should have drafted Demidov before Montreal it's the other team in this game. Did Davidson think a teenager could carry an entire offense? I wonder what his overall gameplan even is, continue the suck through the McKenna draft?
You can dislike the pick but overall no, the same can not be said. We are not a team struggling for offense and relying on a kid as a saviorSame could be said for Columbus
Didn’t need a savior - just the best player available - and without heath concerns - a guy who capsule have easily gone 2nd.You can dislike the pick but overall no, the same can not be said. We are not a team struggling for offense and relying on a kid as a savior
they're not struggling for a specific kind of offense (rush chances off turnovers) but demidov looks insanely good in the zone, and that certainly is an area where they have struggled. You can dislike the pick but overall no, the same can not be said. We are not a team struggling for offense and relying on a kid as a savior
That was my point though. Davidson has put everything on 1 player. Still sucks if we get it wrong but atleast we aren't a disaster of a franchise who can't afford to make any mistakes because we have some pretty talented players on the team already. Story isn't completely written on Lindstrom yet but I understand why people don't like uncertainty.Didn’t need a savior - just the best heathy pick available and a guy who capsule have easily gone 2nd.
