Pens do something good for once, beating NYR in regulation tonight, Rangers still have a game in hand on us, but still being four points back means that can't pass us by winning the two games in hand they had at the start of the night. Guys need to come out strong tomorrow and leave it all out there before the break and some reinforcements arrive.

Yeah I remember that song. And Crystal Blue Persuasion by Tommy James.

But Crystal Ball… that’s Tommy Shaw’s first Styx record. And he had the title track. A masterpiece. I’m hoping @Doggy shares that opinion.
Yup, great trivia question about Crystal Ball being Tommy Shaw's first studio recording after joining the band. I'm a huge Styx fan and that is probably my favorite song by them of all time. Might be one of my top ten favorite of all time.

I am sad I never got to see the whole band live together. I don't know how DDY's voice is these days but I heard a live recording of TS from this past summer and while it's obviously not 70s-80s Shaw it was still pretty decent. I always wondered if John Curulewski ever regretted leaving the band just as they were having real success.

So, did either of you happen to see the performance of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra doing Styx songs a few years ago (maybe pre COVID)? I had Styx-loving family members go.

Nope, moved back to Ohio in 2021. But that'd be cool. Much of Styx' music was rock opera (like Paradise Theater and Killroy Was Here) because that's the way Dennis DeYoung liked it. So it would be very symphony-friendly music.
