Playoff Push or Tank

With the way this season's expectations have gone - I could see this team somehow squeaking into the last wild card spot the last couple of games of the season; then winning a round and then picking somewhere in the mid 20's first round of the draft again. (So much for the expectations of a tank and a high draft pick.)

The question is - can this team keep playing like this and winning - over the duration?

Or will the shock and adrenalin wear off.

The deadwood is mostly gone, and those left should be playing scared not showing any complacency.

Sweeney showed the whole team he is not afraid to trade anyone.

So, the team better be showing up ready to play.

Those that don't, could be gone this summer.

What do people think, where will this team finish based on this small sample size?

These guys are playing for their jobs. They're not going to tank so the team can get guys to replace them in 2-3 years. Just enjoy the rest of the season. There are too many teams to jump to have a realistic playoff push, but I'll enjoy watching the games.

Too many teams to jump over-especially since all have games in hand over the Bs

That said - the last two games have been played with focus, intensity and emotion -a far superior product to what we have seen for the most of the year

I know some will say tank, lose as many as you can and maximize your draft position.. I'd rather they play like they did last night and if they fall short ( which I expect they will) at least they will end the season with pride and as a certain dman said 'playing for the crest"
