I was thinking about goalies, and who every team has for a starter. So far it looks like only Carolina and Toronto are the teams locked in and running a tandem. Everyone else has a set starter in good health.

Skinner sticks out on that list like an oatmeal raisin cookie in a box of oreos.

Oilers fans should be livid that the management in Edmonton is wasting another year with sub-standard goaltending. It should be unacceptable.

For the leafs we are probably gonna go stolarz, at least to start. Might swap if he’s bad but I doubt we alternate

We’ve seen better tandems try that and not work. You gotta pick a guy and go with him until he falters or wins

Valiquette just did a breakdown on Helly and said only 2 goalies in the last 14 years have won a cup playing over 60 games.

Said Helly is bottom 3 in mid danger chances, susceptible to same side one timers and slot chance/broken plays. He gets his hands down and then cannot get them up really quickly,

He said Helly has been the top goalie in high danger and will win the Vezina because of it.

They don't as often but those that do, don't fair well. All means nothing if he plays the same way he has played all year.

I do enjoy listening to the breakdowns.

Also said Ullmark matches up really well with Toronto.
