Yep. I picked Ducks in 6.

Same here. No way did I think this was the series to end in a sweep. I figured either Montreal/Ottawa (almost did) or TB/Detroit. I didn't put that in my bracket, but those were the most likely in my mind.

Just like the regular season, I'm fine with not getting attention. I'm sure by the start of round 2, the media will be looking at their notes and say, "oh yeah, didn't the Ducks sweep a team?"

if we get calgary i don't think there will be any issues of being ready, they scored 6 goals on anaheim once this year so i am not worried about "underestimating" them

Considering we're at 98.3% on the season, that guys kind of an idiot.
Expecting those people to deal in facts is a pipe dream, they're just in a permanent state of blissful ignorance.

I routinely get asked if I've "lost a bet" when people see me wearing a Carolina or Nashville jersey out.

The xenophobia is strong up here.
It doesn't surprise me, the amount of hate the 'southern' teams get on HF is rather amusing. You'd think all non traditional markets are complete failures with the way some people carry on.

Just makes it all the sweeter to shut the idiots up :)

i actually felt like winnipeg fans were just trying to get themselves over more at the end of the game, than cheering the team in fact they actually had zero impact on the series if anything they helped the ducks who seemed to enjoy shutting them up
Honestly, the amount of **** talk from Jets fans before and during the series makes this sweep feel so satisfying.

I think only sweeping the Kings would feel better

And indeed, I don't think taunting players like Getzlaf, Perry and Kesler is smart considering the latter 2 especially feed off the taunts.

I actually lost a bet in 2012 and had to wear a Chinese knockoff kings jersey all day at my high school after they made it to the finals. I felt so gross, had to shower right after.

Poor form bringing that stuff up already. It would come out soon enough anyhow, but right now it just sounds kinda weak. I can guarantee that the Ducks, like all teams, are playing through a boatload of injuries themselves.

They don't need to make excuses, their team played balls out and left it all out there. It's simply the difference between being an 8th seed playing all out to make the playoffs since the ASG and a 1st seed in cruise control for two months leading into the series.

We lost Thompson and Wagner. Yes, 4th line centers, but can play PK. But on that note, the team does have some surprising depth. Who would have thought Flash would play center? I suppose it's better to have too much talent than less talent. We still have Sekac and Wiz as healthy scratches! Kudos, Bob?!?

How dare you forget our secret weapon, Holzer! ;)

That's the funny thing, you just never know who will go from regular season dud to playoff hero. We have so many guys that were viewed as spare parts (Stoner, Flash, Etem, Sekac, Jackman, etc.), and after one great series it's suddenly a challenge to decide who deserves to play more because everyone is playing so well.

I agree with you, it's a great problem to have. Even Wiz sitting on the bench, even if he never needs to play a game in the playoffs, you have to love that we have a player of his caliber on deck if a major injury befalls somebody. This is some serious depth.

Dregger is a Duck hating tool. He's mad because he had the Jets beating us in 6, and had them in the conference finals losing in 7 games.

Dregger also went on NHL network after the Schultz ordeal and said "Props to Schultz for waiving his Canadian flag". He's a jackass.

IMO... the Jets were the Ducks most difficult match up. At the beginning of the year...with Keslers pick up....I believed in a repeat of 2007.

Everyone has opinions. .. IMO...the Ducks will win the Cup this year. Whether they do or not...only time will tell. ...
2014 losing to the Kings...made them STRONGER in their HEART....

GO DUCKS!!!!

Dreger is annoying, but the entire SN crew are anathema to me. MacLean and Kypreos are idiots and Strombo, I am pretty sure never saw a hockey game in his life before he got that job. It's physically painful to listen to.

I don't know why they don't just close the post series thread on the main board. It's not like anything constructive is coming out of it. I realize that wasn't happening when the series was still going on either.

Was a sick series! Well worth waking up 5am and watching the games before work...

Also just recently discovered this site and this is my first post :handclap:
