Playoff chase

Wings have the toughest strength of schedule left of any NHL team. I think we only play like 2 non playoff teams the next 2 months. It going to be a real grind to get in.
Which might be not be a bad thing.

Keeps them focused no taking a game off(See San Jose/Habs back to back before coaching change)

Playing the hard games makes you battle tested. Especially if there are teams you might be seeing in the playoffs.

Or it could burn them totally out ...we shall see which way the pendulum swings

Some more help around the league despite our loss

Rangers beat the Jackets in regulation, for a bit it looked like this was gonna be a 3 point game

Florida beat Ottawa

Vegas beat Boston

Also the Islanders were up 3-1 on Minnesota, it is now 4-3 Wild

Montreal is cooked!! They couldn't beat the Bolts. Same result. Montreal outshoots them like we did and the Bolts get 5 goals on like 20 shots. Well at least it ain't just us.

Some people thought we could fight for thec3rd in our division or even for the division title. I think we can be happy and lucky if we finish 8th.

I have no idea about playoffs. The last 21 games have been an epic story, but I don't know if they've got another .700 20 game run in them, or whatever it would take to maintain a WC spot.

But man O man has it been a change of pace to enjoy watching the games! Everyone seems "there" on the ice most of the time, they clearly believe they can do it, and there's no quit in these guys. If they stay decent, I am hoping at the TDL that SY rewards them with a solid acquisition if possible, or at worst standing pat.

I would bet exactly one piece of pepperoni that, if they do get in, they can advance out of the first round, but honestly I don't care about that. I want them to feel the woodchipper that is post-season hockey and fall in love with it. And I want to watch it and listen to Mickey's stories about playoffs back in his day.

Would have a decent shot to beat capitals (think they overperformed there team by a large margin this year, miracle run) and leafs (sorry leaf fans, but PO chokers)

Very much this.
