I like silence during playoff games too. I was watching Game 6 vs Washington in 2012 with a couple buddies who weren't Bruins fans and they were yacking nonstop in overtime. I was sitting on the very edge of my seat staring silently at my TV nervous as hell. As soon as Seguin scored I jumped out of my seat and had a quick celly before sitting down and acting normal again.

that is hilarious

During that Cup winning season I didn`t mute the TV but found myself consistently pacing around the living room, too bad the Fit Bit wasn`t around at that time, I`m sure I walked a million miles

I pace a lot also and have the sound down during tense moments but turn it right bsck up if something good happens .

I don't really have any superstitions these days, given the last few years but, before game 3 vs MTL in 2011, I walked to Tim Hortons and bought a coffee about 90 minutes prior to game time. Just prior to puck drop I got the lil' lady to rub and kiss my spoked B, then, during the 1st intermission, I poured a glass of OJ (which is completely out of character for me). I finished that glass off at the final horn. Since they won game 3, I rode that superstition of Coffee, B rub, and OJ in the playoffs until they lost in 2014. Now, I'm not sure if I'll come up with something. Perhaps, if they win game 1, I'll keep doing whatever it is that I did pregame.

Perhaps I'll buy a Bruins car flag. I bought one in 2011. I was speeding home to catch the beginning of game 1 vs Philly that year and a cop pulled me over. Luckily for me he was a Bruins fan and let me off with a warning. Prior to game 1 vs Tampa, I was driving from Toronto to Newmarket for my mother-in-law's birthday, in a pretty brutal thunderstorm. My flag snapped off on the drive, the Bruins lost game 1 and I was worried that it was a bad omen for the series.

I really hope you have a Bruins tattoo and spoked B isn't a sick code name.

My superstition is a terrible one.

During the 2011 Cup run, I would faithfully listen to Felger & Mazz every evening during my commuter rail trip from Southborough (where I was working a contract gig) to Boston. It became an important ritual that only increased in importance as the Bruins got closer and closer to the Cup. The show was pretty entertaining during that period, though I've since grown tired of their schtick.

During the 2013 run I was working for a company in Boston. Shorter commute, no Felger & Mazz. We all know how that turned out.

Now that I'm living in New Orleans I'm going to have to remind myself every day to tune in to the Felger & Mazz online stream. This is known as taking one for the team.

I don't like to call myself a hero, but...

I have to watch the Bruins playoff games at home, and it HAS to be on the living room TV where my Bobby Orr figurine, Bruins pucks and Bruins 2011 SC replica ring are in front of the TV....(with NO interuptions).

...other than this, I'm not really superstitious.

Funny how things change when you age, when I was in my 20`s and would wear a Bruins October loss for days, I more often than not could be found at the local Don Cherry`s bar in Ottawa because the access to Bruins games was nothing like it is today and DC`s always played Bruin games.

As I got older, and more sober, the bars/pubs were off the table, often had buddies come over and catch games as I always HAD to have the biggest TV. Now, I don`t invite anyone over, don`t want them near my TV, couch, dog, fridge as I need to watch the games alone.

But I still have the biggest TV:)

I have watched the Bruins sober for many years also, I enjoy just me & my snacks now. I hardly watch a game with anyone, maybe my brother-in-law or brother ( Bruins fans also )

I don't have any superstitions. I always watch the games at home (one glorious exception was Game 7 in 2011 when I was staying at MaineHockey1's place, we just about tore the house apart) with my two cats who at this point of the season no longer freak out & run under the bed when Mommy yells at the screen. I've also given up keeping pillows handy to throw since I got my new flat screen TV.

I lay my Thomas jersey on the back of the chair I'm sitting in. Started it in 2011 for some reason and have continued ever since.

Landline phone unplugged. Cell phone off. Nobody allowed anywhere near me. Exercise lots on day of the game to relieve any tension and to pass the time until the puck drops. Lucic jersey on. Will continue with the Looch jersey even though he no longer plays here.
