Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Villains are fine as long as it a not just from horror films. It was either the Ducks or Preds fans who did it three years ago. I'm pretty sure it was the Ducks though.

That looks really cool. Now imagine Dustin "knee seeking missile" Two Face Brown taking out Hertl, then Dustin "crime fighting hero" Brown scoring the GWG against any team that hates him (pretty much every team).
Great job with the photo shop RP. If we go this route, I'll even take Muzzin as he is a villain many times to so many around here.

Heel is another word for villian that began in professional wrestling and has become a slang term for bad guys or evil characters. Heels (or rudos) are the bad guys that break rules and do despicable things to get the crowd to hate them, while Faces (or technicos) are the good guys that the crowd wants to see win matches and cheers for.
In the pic I posted it's basically jsut saying Vader was a heel or bad guy.
I still think the NWO theme is perfect but it seemed like there was about 3-5 of us on board with it. The reaction to it was strange considering we've used wrestling avatars before. I think it was 2009 or 2010 we used old-school 80s guys for the playoffs.
A little different but the Canucks did a Revengers theme using the heros form the Avengers for 2012... So it'd be close to that if we went that route.

I say embrace the hate and roll with the villains theme. If the Ducks did the horror character theme previously, then:
1. They most likely did it poorly.
2. Horror movie characters and villains are two totally different things, but with some crossover.
That Carter one is an awesome example of how cool it could be, far as I know the Batman franchise isn't horror-based....

Bond villains can be good - though they need the right cues to be identifiable, i.e Oddjob's hat, Jaws' teeth, Le Chiffre's bloody tears. (Trevor Lewis with Dr. No's immobile iron hands). The more obscure ones can work (like the Korean dude with diamonds stuck in his face or whatever) if the biggies are there.
