Which player in team history did you expect to stick around for longer than they did:
I'll start
Higgins
Komisarek
Lapierre
Which Higgins Matt or Chris lol

I really thought Segachev would be a #1 D for the Habs for years but alas I didn't :eek::eek::eek: on the dumb moves of a certain GM.

Sergei Kostitsyn. I bought his jersey after his amazing rookie season. Was my favourite player that year. Still the only hab jersey I ever bought. Tried to buy Demidov last year and it was sold out.

I never liked Turgeon, unless you meant Sylvain Turgeon. Your list is missing Kovalchuk and Kovalev.

Not sure if he's been mentioned yet but I thought Vanek would stick around a little bit longer.

Pierre Turgeon scored 38 goals and 98 pts for us and all hockey experts says his trade was a mistake. He had 74, 68, 65, 66 and 82 pts after he left Mtl. Not bad at all., Kovalchuck was old and Kovalev too. Kovalev was so and so after he left Habs. Vanek didn't want to sign here but yes he could be on the list.

Smith-Pelley and Pouliot were real deals in my innocent mind of the time.

That's such a classic HFHabs trope though.

Reclamation project has a sequence of 5 pts in 10 games. He's now a potential top 6 player, we found a diamond in the rough.

I’m not sure about including guys who had long careers but were traded. I think it should just be short careers.

Galchenyuk and Komi for me. I know they were traded, but they never followed up on the great seasons they had with the Habs. I seriously thought Komi would be a defensive beast for us. Luckily he followed the money and was never the same.
