Laine & PLD and they are both missing one thing and it can be signed up with one word...guts, gumption, will power, sacrifice, heart, grit, valor, mettle, determination, tenacity, fortitude, moxie, never give up attitude.

I guess you haven't watched PLD this year on the Caps? 'Gutsy' is actually one of the more applicable adjectives I'd use to describe his play. Can't speak to what his issues were in his previous stops but Carberry seems to getting the best out of him.

Also, that's more than one word

I feel like Laine could have been a superstar if he had the mental drive to do it. He just seems like a guy with all the tools but lacks the dedication to the game to become a superstar.

Laine with intensity could be 85% prime Ovechkin.
Just saw this after i posted below you. Totally agree, he could have been insane.
