So...Gary Bettman profits off of questionable hockey hall of fame induction black tie galas...? Is that what I should take away from that?
It's worth noting that the NBHOF has never actually looked like that.In a less crass and right-wing / exploitative world, the Hockey Hall of Excellence would be more like Baseball's used to be, where only the very best of the best make it in. Only players who are synonymous with the era they represent --- who are almost larger than the sport, who are iconic --- would be let in.

they induct random ex-buffalo players from the 80s and 90s to cash in on western new yorkers making the drive up the QEW
Clark Gillies' forgettable season with the Sabres is part of the conspiracy!they induct random ex-buffalo players from the 80s and 90s to cash in on western new yorkers making the drive up the QEW
Rick Middleton is very Hall worthy. He leas his team in scoring many times and was played against top lines alwaysWell it’s not Mogilny,
And Rick Middleton isn’t hall worthy.
Turgeon played significantly more games in Buffalo than LaFontaine whose number they retired. Is Turgeon really considered an ex-Buffalo player? I know he played there and you don't really associate him with one particular team because he never stuck around long enough but if I had to pick one I guess it is St. Louis. That being said, he had the nickname "The Tin Man" in Buffalo. He's not remembered fondly that way.
